I wasn't really sure if I can remove the retracting spring. After watching this video not only I was able to remove it, but also cleaned it thoroughly. Now the issue of keeping the action open at the range is resolved. Thanks

Removed the spring and now it'll cycle the minis, seriously it wouldn't cycle them because that dam spring. Thanks man!!

Nice job with the video. I actually bought this for my son last Christmas for under 200. When he got some roomates he brought it back for safe keeping. He never fired it so today I took it apart and cleaned it up a bit, took it out to break it in. After the first shot with factory 2 3/4 bird, I could not eject the shell no matter how hard I pulled. I ended up holding the pump and tapping it on the ground till I got the slide to come back. I decided to try 3" shells, I was able to rack the first shell and shot great but it took a couple tries to eject again. shot 3 more times once it ejected like a pump should the other 2 had some difficulty but at least I could cycle unlike the first shell. I investigated when I got back in, I could cycle easy a couple times then couldn't sporadically and noticed that the bolt sometimes moved ever so slightly back as I start to move the slide back and the "silver cam" on the top of the bolt does not retract downward, if I put just slight pressure on the bolt I can cycle it everytime. I've had pump shot guns forever but never had this problem. Any ideas on what might solve this? Appreciate the time you took to make the video. Thanks

Honestly, I haven't. I did experience something similar though with 2 3/4 slugs. What I found was the chamber was incredibly tight and the brass case was expanding and causing the shell to not extract. I feel this shotgun may need some standard shells ran through it first to break it in before running any hot ammo. I also experienced the same malfunction with Rio 00 buck 9 pellet 2 3/4.

Just bought mine last week and this video was what I needed! I followed the instructions and took out the plug and spring and it is so much easier to pump. I was also trying to figure out how to move the stock and this was covered as well. Can't wait to go to the range and fire it! Only criticism of the video was when I was trying to fit the sight back on...it took me some time to figure it out because that portion of the video was caught off. Otherwise, nice job.

It actually uses Benelli accessories. It's basically a Benelli super nova.

If you go on the companies website, they sell aftermarket parts for the shotgun. By researching those part numbers, I was able to determine the RZ17 uses Benelli stuff. It really does look like Remington at first glance. I'm sure if one had the ability Remington stuff could be adapted.

This was my first purchase for a firearm. I decided to take off the rifle sight and rail along the barrel. When putting the pins back in, they are "anti roll" but they spin like no tommorow when putting screws into them. Dont have any tools small enough that I could use to back it out. Will be taking it to a gunsmith monday

Have you considered putting an extension tube? I have been looking around and I have noticed you saying that it is actually a super nova clone rather than an 870 clone. My S/N is in the "unsupported" category on their website. So I have been trying to find a tube that will fit mine.

With turkish shotguns, chances are they're either a benelli or beretta clone of some type. I no longer have this shotgun since switching to the bp12. I wish I could help more than I can currently. I do apologize.

I bought the rz17 model without all the tactical attachments, is it possible for me to buy them and swap them out? I really wanted the tactical version like what you had in the video but they didnt have it in stock

No. Not unless you can find chokes that'll thread in place of the flash hider.

Me and my family just went to shoot this sucker, we’re new to the shotgun platform so I could be at fault with the malfunction. But when racking a shell into chamber another unspent shell would come out the feeding tube when pulling forward. One is chamber and another falls out the bottom, WTH am I doing wrong.

@@AmericanDefender assist is in at the moment , but while looking at why it’s eating one and spitting one I’m pretty sure it’s the cartridge interrupter it’s out the box, so maybe the 2 1/4 inch shells wasn’t long enough to feed. What’d you think?
