Silver Lake Fishing Campground Cloudcroft, Ruidoso NM RV Park

Silver Lake is located on the Mescalero reservation off of Highway 244.
The lake is stocked with trout. Open from May through September.
Fishing permit is a requirement. You can purchase a permit at the Silver Lake office.

We went there all my life until the banks of the lakes were nothing but beer cans and we had to listen to loud Hispanic music until 4am but it looks like they’ve cleaned it up

I think they try to keep it up nice and clean, as they now charge at the entrance. And close the gate at 8pm. for the day users.
