I would recommend that, since you're in a deep historic drought with an alarmingly ever-increasing population, you remove any backup reservoirs anticipated for that eventuality. As we all know, uncovered water can't possibly be filtered enough for today's Perrier expectations; and an expanded park for cute little dogs would be much welcomed by exceedingly wealthy lonely little old ladies making political contributions, Karens, NIMBYS, and most especially politically influential developers owning the surrounding area.

LA can use this in their recycled water program for landscape use etc. OH! But they don't have a recycled water programs like we do in NorCAL! Why? Because they get all the water they want from the rest of the state and the Colorado.

We already have recycled water from the Tillman Water Reclamation Plant, which reclaims the water from sewage and sends it down to the L.A. River-- this water isn't rated for human consumption but is fine for watering foliage, so it's used at Griffith Park, L.A. Zoo Gardens, public golf courses, and the sides of freeways.

I believe one day the remaining California residents will be officially forced out of California. At least the ones that won't take a hint from all of the increase in disaster conditions. Perhaps now is the stage where the officials gradually reduce available food, water & electricity. Somebody doesn't want Americans to live there anymore. Am I way off base in this assumption?
