Silver’s scenes will never not make me tear up. This did him justice.

Thank you Ivory. And same here. When I watched the film again after many years prior to uploading this video, that scene struck all the chords in my heart.

Probably one of the most emotional ending themes of any film I’ve seen. Really awesome rescore!

I totally agree, never fails to make me well up. I'm glad you liked the re-score :).

Thanks! And yes, I do remember it fondly as a kid. Went on a nostalgic journey the other week and ended up creating this. One of my favorite cues from the soundtrack.

This is one of my favorite songs Disney's ever put to the screen, and you did it justice. I have absolutely no idea how you did this, it looks like a lot of work, but it paid off beautifully
@SamuelStalderOST3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I absolutely love this song as well. To put it into a few words, I recreated the music note by note, instrument by instrument on synthesisers to create something close to the real recording essentially. It is indeed very tedious, but I'm really glad you like it :)).

Hey, good stuff! Silver’s theme is a classic, and I’m happy to see someone give it a MIDI cover. Never fails to make me tear up a little. I wish you the best of luck with future uploads!

Thank you Hanakin Skywalker! Yeah, it's my favourite theme in the film. Just symbolises so much.

This might be a dumb question, but what type of instrument is the sound that starts at about 20 seconds? Is that an accoridan? I've been trying to find out for a while, love the sound it makes.
@SamuelStalderOST3 жыл бұрын
Hi Duffmeister! Not at all a dumb question :)). Yes, it is indeed an accordion. Specifically the Ilya Efimov Accordian. I've put it on a setting which plays very gently, all lower velocities and modulation. I also love the sound here, but even more so in the real recording. Such a calming and soothing texture. Thanks for asking!

@@SamuelStalderOST thank you for replying to me, I'm sorry I just saw it. It's truly wonderful in this piece and I've found myself replaying it many times over the years. Thanks again.

What website did you use for this man? Its amazing, Its so cinematic!
@SamuelStalderOST3 жыл бұрын
Hi Marian. Thank you so much! I don't use a website for this, rather a combination of applications. To re-make the music, I used a music software called Logic Pro X along with sample libraries made for a sampling engine called Kontakt to get the sound you hear. (You can see the description for more details). As with the video, I screen recorded the music software and put that video in iMovie where I edited it with some still images from the film to give it that cinematic feel. Hope this helps :)

This is very good, but the hashtag for John Powell doesn’t make since. Wrong composer, right?
@SamuelStalderOST3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. And oops, yes you're completely right. Great spot! I was adding hashtags to all my videos to get them more recommend. I think I accidentally put Powell here instead of James Newton Howard. Will change it immediately. Thanks again!
