Same for me, i'm now watching all of them, this man is amasing, probably the best magician i've seen, he is able to do his tricks and make you feel something others don't trigger. The story with the shoemaker and this one are probably the best magic tricks i've seen.

Chris, I'm convinced you're the greatest magician I've ever seen after watching this. I was already impressed by your wit, humor, and whole presentation, but this right here just takes it to a whole other level. Your ability to tell a story and touch the audience emotionally is something I've never seen from a magician before. I've never really seen storytelling at all in a magic act before. You're not just saying "Look what I can do! Look at how good I am!" as many other magicians do. The stories in this video make your audience feel happy and at peace. The magicians that get the nods for TV shows have all the big flashy props, the "beautiful assistants," the danger, etc, but none of them have quite the impact that you do. Sure, they are skilled and entertaining, and many have done extremely complex and impressive tricks, but they don't have the full skill set you do. I've never seen someone with the ability to captivate and connect with people like you can. You don't need any extra fluff, because the real magic is you. I hope you never stop what you're doing and you never stop making people happy.

Usually 1-2 times a year I come back and re-watch all the videos. There are a lot of sides to magic or being a magician, but most are focused on making an impressive big show. While yours are also shows, you are not trying to make a big movie blockbuster, you are the kind of magician that wants to see the shine in childrens eyes, but those childrens are adults. The acts are always so nice, either humorous or with nice stories combined. It's what I would call the difference between working to showoff or working with your heart.

Well done, Mr. H. I’ve watched this a number of times, some when I’ve not felt the best. But each time a smile comes to me when watching this little segment. Suddenly, from a 63 year old man I’m now a kid again, watching a magician in amazement as they do their magic and holding me in complete and utter wonderment. I’ve always been blessed by not caring how it’s done....simply that it is done. That to me is the magic...

So I've watched a few of your videos, and I am absolutely taken by your storytelling talent, you are downright genius performer, and I wish you ever visited my homecountry on a tour... But I also finally figured out, why someone so amazing is so obscure. Your talent is personal. It's not a bright and shiny talent that cows and awes masses, not that popular type of performer, relying on baser instincts and nature. You, sir, craft memories. And that strikes true into the hearts of the audience, but also, it does not attract attention, nay, it does not even tries to attract it. It is a bittersweet feeling of nostalgia, a tale shared by the fire side, it is, yes, that elusive taste of summer, a dandelion wine. But just like a good bottle of wine, it can't be drunk by many. It is shared in a close company of good friends, but quickly watered down if given to many, for we are not gods. Not even sons. You have a talent that is reserved to a small stage, and as much as it pains me to admit it, you belong there. So I am left there, on the other side of the world, in the cold expanse of Russia, wishing to share one day a room with you. And knowing it is doubtful, resolving myself to instead create my own personal memories in a group of friends. You had just touched a random man through the years and miles. I had never quite appreciated the gift of Internet as I do it right now. All the best to you.

There is something so mesmerising about Hannibal. I stumbled onto him two days ago watching Penn and Teller, then a magical trail opened up where I wandered from one video to the next...lockdown is doing some terrible but wonderful things like rekindling my desire for stories. So few of us have memories anymore - our lives are weirdly bound up inside our cellphones, and few of us still remember what it was like to just let yourself be drenched in someone else's words, to zone out of the world's woes for some little while. Thank you for the story Hannibal.

gosh, i love your stuff so much. this is the pure magic, the sense of wonder, the story, the humor.. some magicians break my brain while I try to figure out HOW they did what they did. you go straight for a soul and show exactly WHY you did what you did, and HOW becomes so tiny and irrelevant of a question in the face of magic... amazing stuff.

I can't really put into words the impact that these performances have, but this one in particular hurts almost as much as it heals. Hannibal seems equal parts stranger and friend; he's captivating and genuine in a space that could easily lend itself to rote parlour tricks.
