You must do 1 of 2 things, or disolve all metals, or remove only industrial silver contacts and disolve them. After disolving, filtrațion, precipitațion, do the lye and sugar transfornațion, washing, and after that melt the silver. You shold get atleast 7g of dilver from that amount.

good tip I use, attach an angle grinder to a support facing up with a disc of medium thickness, more than 1.5mm, and press on the underside of the contact, it will heat up and loosen the silver contact, huge acid savings. hope to have helped.i am from Brasil, i use Google traductor

Waste of Nitric Acid! Remove the contacts from the copper arms first. Use an Oxy/Propane or Oxy Acetylene Torch. When it starts to glow red, pluck off the contact. Saves you Time, Acid and Money!

You do realize that in his country he can get nitric acid for less than electricity per kilowatt in the US. The amount of nitric acid he used in this video in his country cost less than $0.001. honestly, not even a tenth of a penny. He could do this ten times, and it might cost him a penny.
