Silver Sluggers Fall To Weakened Warriors Despite Strong Effort From Assorgi

Frank Assorgi collected four hits in four at bats, but Silver Sluggers lost to Weakened Warriors 19-13 on Sunday. Frank Assorgi tripled in the fourth inning, singled in the second inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Despite the loss, Silver Sluggers did collect 23 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Weakened Warriors had 25 hits on the way to victory.
Weakened Warriors jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Joseph Sixburgh singled, scoring one run, Curtis Weeble doubled, scoring two runs, and Louie Caputo singled, scoring one run.
Silver Sluggers flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on seven hits to take the lead, 5-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Robert Hathaway that drove in one.
Weakened Warriors made the score 7-5 in the bottom of the second after an error scored two runs, and Daniel Carvahal singled, scoring one run.
Weakened Warriors scored five runs on seven hits in the bottom of the third inning. Robbie Reverend singled, scoring one run, Andy Cope doubled, scoring one run, Trevor Hollywood doubled, scoring two runs, and Jimmy Sneed singled, scoring one run.
Silver Sluggers scored five runs on seven hits in the top of the fifth inning. Jon Kniss singled, scoring one run, Tim Bruton doubled, scoring one run, Jesse Arredondo induced Adam Redell to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Dan Vasquez singled, scoring one run, and Pat Scott singled, scoring one run.
Weakened Warriors scored five runs on six hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jimmy Sneed singled, scoring one run, Curtis Weeble singled, scoring one run, Louie Caputo doubled, scoring two runs, and Robbie Reverend singled, scoring one run.
Bob Sepulveda started the game for Silver Sluggers. The pitcher gave up 19 hits and 14 runs (11 earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking none.
Silver Sluggers collected 23 hits in the game. Pat Scott led Silver Sluggers with three runs batted in. The center fielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Bob Sepulveda, Tim Bruton, James Talbot, Dan Vasquez, Bob Ascott, Adam Redell, and Jon Kniss each collected multiple hits for Silver Sluggers.
Weakened Warriors collected 25 hits in the game. Trevor Hollywood, Joseph Sixburgh, Louie Caputo, Jesse Arredondo, Curtis Weeble, and Robbie Reverend each collected three hits for Weakened Warriors. Joseph Sixburgh, Louie Caputo, and Curtis Weeble each drove in three runs for Weakened Warriors. Daniel Carvahal, Jimmy Sneed, and Andy Cope each collected multiple hits for Weakened Warriors.
