I just picked up a 2008 GMC sierra extended cab 5.3 4x4 black onyx Leather interior , I plan on doing the tow mirrors and the headlamp mod weather that be new lamps ( most likely ) or this DIY , however great ideas for our trucks , tires and rims are first

Love the channel bro. I was wondering did painting the reflector have any effect on lighting output/ pattern? I had my headlights cleared on my truck for about three years and they started leaking so I’m thinking of modding the original ones I cleared since they have already been cut open. Also did you cut a hole in the backside of the headlight for the drl strip? Headlights leaking at all? Keep the videos coming man. My favorite KZbin channel. 👍🏻

Hey I've been looking to do a retrofit for my 08 headlights. The sealent is called permaseal. Very dificult to loosen up to open. It's possible though. I would suggest anyone gonna try this use a sealent called buetal. It's the proper sealent to reseal the lights. I believe the dioddynamix led bulb should fit those Spyder projectors. Just a recommendation off of the research I've done.

You don't have to remove the grill to pull the headlights fully out. Otherwise, good job on the vids man. 😎✌

Should have just put them in the oven on 275° for 15 minutes. Cutting them is silly. Could have put rgb halos inside too while you had em open. I customized my 2002 Yukon Denali like this over 15 years ago lol

Doesn't someone sell these headlamps painted to match? Could've sworn i saw someone selling painted ones online. Could be wrong. Ive got some c-bars on my truck, so let me send you my factory lamps and you jazz em up for me. My truck is white. Probably wouldn't look good. Ive got clear lens black housing now and like it better. If i could find the grill i want, that would set it off. But i cant find the right combo anywhere. Very frustrating 🤬

Wait... only the paint and LED strip is $40. I just looked at their website (because I was going to buy them for my 17) and the bulbs are $140. So it’s really $300 aftermarket versus $180 DIY.
