I love my HDX step bars. I’ve had them on 2016 Silverado for 8 years in Minnesota and the still look brand new. I went one step further. I line X mine, they will out last the truck. I just traded the 2016 in for 2024 and bought and LINE -X a set of HDX for it

You will need to be very diligent in keeping them lubed! And keeping the mechanisms clean. Your in a tough winter environment! I installed the stainless version of the HDXs and I live down south but the corrosion resistance is worth it! Great videos and I look forward to a long term review of the power amp steps!

Good luck with the Amp steps. Here in Wiscosin they tend to sieze up if you dont lube them regularly and often.

They have sealed snow blower shoot motors. Or are you talking about the hinges? The reading material just told me to rinse them off during winter build up.

I've had Amp set up for 4 years. In MN the passenger side has siezed. 2011 sinverado 2500 HD.

One of the first mods I installed on my '21 AT4 was the AMP Power Step. Overall I have been fairly happy with it. I have 2 major complaints though. My biggest is that they don't offer a wheel-to-wheel variation. Would it be that difficult to manufacture steps that are only 12- 16 inches longer? Second, they don't fit flush up against the body of the truck when retracted. My steps have a 1" gap between the step and the bottom of the door sill when the steps are retracted. It doesn't give it a very "OEM look". Fortunately for you, the Bushwhacker door sill guards take up that extra space and give it a nice flush look. Also, AMP makes an auxiliary switch that you can mount somewhere on the outside of your truck that allows you to manually deploy and retract your steps without having to open your doors. A nice thing about the latest model is that the control module under the hood looks much smaller than the prior version. Your truck looks nice with the new additions!

Thanks! All good points. The power steps from GM have a button on the end that swing them back for the 3rd step. But those only seem to come out horizontally during normal operation. You don’t get any look of ground clearance out of it. Which was the whole point I thought lol.

Nice steps, I would have like to had the money to buy the AMP Steps but there just way to expensive for my budget so opt out to buy a set of Havoc HS2 for my Trail Boss, By the way do you have a video of the Brake covers I see on your truck? I am asking because I want to get some for my truck and I heard that I need to buy wheel spacer to install so the? tire rim will not hit the covers, did you have this problem with the stock trail boss rims?

They were super tight on the 18”. I sold those and bought 20” wheels and they had plenty of room. One of my earliest videos is about those covers. Just click on my picture and do some scrolling 😊.
