silverchair fill in for Kennedy and host MTV's Alternative Nation on December 13 & 14, 1995. They recorded this in New York City around the time they made their only appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Watching this makes me so happy. I love the graphics they use and I love the songs they're playing, and I love the fact that they have an entire show on MTV dedicated to alternative. I was born in 97, so I never experienced this first hand, but it gives me the feeling of bitter happiness that comes with nostalgia. I wish music and TV were like this today.

@Hawk Holloway No, they weren't! They were 16 at this interview! And also... What do you mean? I know that people are evolving and I accept and appreciate Daniel's choices and changing. But, just... Let's be honest here... Look at him in the past, even when he was twelve years old to probably twenty years old! These guys have done lots of incredible things, that 0,5% of today's people can do! He became a global rock star, even when he was a child and their crowd was huge as hell, especially about 15 years old musicians! I'm so sad, about today's Daniel, but he passed lots of serious and sad things since all his years, like the thing with anorexia. I wish him a better future and to be the person who everyone loves, and of course, the most important thing, to love HIMSELF as of the person who he is!

Sure 91-93 than we got all these shitty one hit wonder bands. “Harvey Danger” Folk implosion” etc. Silverchair was this brilliant explosion of kick ass rock that shit all over those crap bands.
