All good advice. Personally, I don't care if people know I have metals. Knowing gets them NO closer to stealing it. I could tell you where and the stack is still safe, guarded by Timber Rattlers, buried somewhere on 5 acres, or maybe up a tree...... I might even let someone go look, just to see how good my security is. Still, for most, best to be discreet.

You did fine on the morgan dollar. Its worth what somebody is willing to pay. Them old Morgans are worth alot more than just the silver content imo. Them are keepers and collectors. Id always buy them around spot price because they are classic currency that become rarer over the years.

Great video! Great advice! New stackers need to pace themselves and start slow. If you keep adding to your stack slowly, you will eventually have a really great stack. No need to break the bank, go into debt, or cash out your 401K.

I def use a CC. I know I pay a bit more but the budgeting is pretty simple. One thing I think you should add is using a PO Box. Packages continuously showing up draws attention and with PO Boxes no worries about being home when package arrives.

I've done all of these other than buying numismatic and fractional. I actually think that buying too big should be on the list, when I stated stacking I REALLY wanted to buy a 100 ounce bar just because I thought it would be cool to have not thinking about it being hard to sell when the time comes to sell. I still might get one tho lol

7. Going for minimum spends can net 33%ish or so, also some cards like the Freedom Unlimited give 4.5% back if you have the Sapphire Reserve(3% back for first $20,000 spent plus 1.5 bonus transferring to CSR).

This should be labeled Top 10 Collecting mistakes. If you're actually stacking, then your primary concern is your number of ounces, not what the coin looks like. Silver is Silver and you're selling it for the spot price of Silver, not for collector or numismatic value. So why double your storage area by putting everything into plastic and having to never touch your Silver with your hands? What difference does touching your Silver make to the spot price of Silver? Sure, you could sell it to a collector, at least during good times, for some kind of collector value, but AGAIN...that's for collectors...NOT stackers. Regarding fractional Silver, I think you should change that to "Fractional Bullion". Fractional Silver is really just 90% Constitutional or Junk Silver. That's not stuff that carries any significant premium typically, except for some Morgan dollars and the like. Your best fractional Silver is just the government minted older coins. I would never buy "Fractional Bullion".

I ordered silver rounds in sets of Tens and I leave them in the plastic tubes or plastic covering and I always use gloves when I touch them. I Always buy Straight ounces. I recently ordered the new five ounce Apollo 11 u.s. minted coin.

Thanks for the Great Video... I'm a new stacker, just getting started good. Strategy: buy as much generic silver bullion at cheapest price and hunt for constitutional silver. Stack for weight. The Why: Mostly for SHTF/ US Dollar collapse scenario. Plan: buy ~10-20 oz of silver every 3 months or so. I have 35 ounces of bars, rounds, junk silver so far. Would love to Collect some silver coins at higher premiums in the future, but doesn't fit my plan as of right know.

Suggestion: Use your credit card to make a numismatic purchase on ebay to earn the points then pay it off right after. Transaction fees & shipping are paid for by the seller and typically the prices on eBay are similar to the red book. This also allows for some level of security if you have to put a stop-hold on the transaction due to fraud. Use cash for bullion purchases, no need to wait for a check to clear to get your metal (or do ACH transfers online). Enjoyed the video too!

New to Stacking...Had to pay down debt first. Now we are 3 months in and having a blast. It sure feels more secure. With that said, We have crunched the numbers from all the online companies, But still one of are stores in our area is always, 3% sell and 3% buy back over spot. It does matter what the coin is, or where it is from, or how old it maybe. It seem to us that We should be buying bulk and shipping it to other stackers. Would this be allowed? Thank you for the upload on the mistakes that can be made as I'm in the UK and when I see all the variety of silver that you have over there and the prices I can't help but feel so jealous as here we have to pay 20% tax on silver so spot for us is in the £16 range that about $20 I'd put as a mistake would be to watch out for the postage as there are places like Ebay that try to make there money back off of the postage and that not right

I have definitely made mistakes #1,4,5 and kind of #8 all the friends I tell also think I keep my stack in the bank safe deposit box!! and kind of #10 I have only been stacking since 9/2018 and spot was and is so low I stacked hard and fast but I had savings set aside to do something- I didn't know what! I always live well below my means! right now I have all of my monthly responsibilities total 25% of my monthly income. Gotta say I love your system of can deposit $ going to silver!!

I just started a couple of weeks ago. Just a little here a little there. I put aside 100 to my 401k, and 100 to my personal savings, and I have about 70 or so for this. I've been buying constitutional silver; I like the history, and it's a good way to go. I've been buying rolls of rosevelts for around 62 dollars. I have $20 dollars face and 2 silver 1 oz bars just to change it up. Might just skip a period, and pick up a 5oz bar or a roll of quarters. Slow and steady wins the race as they say.

I agree with your list. Mostly. I would say that if you have the funds earmarked for PMs, I would make use a credit card if it has cash back benefits and there isn’t another way to purchase the PM. Just be CAREFUL , like you said. As far as number four is concerned, I am still not going to wear gloves when handling my non-numismatic bullion PMs. 😏 While it’s always possible that gunk or other residue from your hands can stain a coin (albeit quite unlikely) tarnish is actually the result of a chemical reaction between the silver and sulfur-containing substances in the AIR. It’s highly likely that it’s going to happen over time regardless of how you touch it. The silver is actually combining with sulfur and forming silver sulfide-tarnish. Milk-spotting is also not caused by touching. Coins with numismatic value are a whole different ball game, but I’m touching my bullion. 😉👌🏼

#10 is: Don't stack "too" fast or quickly. #11 Buy them when the silver or gold price suddenly drops, @ 5-10% or more like in March 2020 or recently. #12 If you predict the precious metals are soon to drop further, stagger your purchases intermittently or at intervals, if the prices keep dropping. Your loss in your previous high purchase will be halved each time. #13 To verify the authencity of pure silver or gold coins, do request from reputable bullion dealer to use their radiation meter to countercheck. #14 Never buy pure gold or silver bars from Jewellers shops, as they charge the company prices and goods & service tax (GST) as well. #15 In certain country, no GST is impose on the purchase of precious metal bullions.

The red book is the worst for numismatics. I suppose the red book is better than guessing, but the Grey Sheet is what numismatists use. The Grey Sheet is updated often (at least monthly). The red book is updated each year.

I like using a credit card for safety reasons. I also never pay interest and get cash back which mitigates some of the premium. I also look for spot, or near spot deals to keep costs down on the card.

Why Me if you look at historical ratios of silver to gold, silver has much more potential to go up in value. it does take up a lot of space, but buy a 15 gun safe and see how long it takes you to fill it up 😏🔥🐉

Silver Baggins Wow. Really? Every single chart I’ve ever seen is Gold and Silver move in price at the same rate apart from twice in the last 100 years. Around 1978 and early 2000’s. So for more than 99% of the time Gold and silver prices have been aligned in terms of price changes up or down etc. also let’s take a small amount say 1oz of Gold. Value around $1300 not much. I wouldn’t want to break my stack for anything less. So if I wanted some urgent money I could take a tiny 1oz of Gold to ANY gold shop or coin shop and get my money easily. Now imagine going into the same shop carrying 85 ounces or 2.5KG of silver? You will quickly find the true value of silver when they don’t want to buy that much and you battle to sell very easily. Plus in my country as silver is an industrial metal GST (tax) is payable on silver unlike 99gold. Now what about securing/hiding 1oz gold versus 85oz of silver? The only reason to stack silver is buying 85 coins individually if you are too poor and then trading them in for a gold coin or bar. It’s just pointless to stack silver over gold.

Mobility? I see where you're coming from like me. If you buy physical, $500,000.00 will buy you 400 oz's of gold or 1 ton of silver. I'll go with the gold. I can grab it and be on the move if I need to. I can't grab 1 ton of silver and run to my car and take off. I think this is where many silver investors aren't thinking why people buy gold.

Remember, you have to make sure you are an investor vs a collector. A collector is always willing to pay a little more for coins. I learn the hard way. The collector hardly ever sell their coins the investor will sell as soon as the apportunity arrived.

Funny that your first choice is "Overpaying". DUH but here you are purchasing the most expensive silver out there with everyone sealed in their own plastic case. By the time you sell those Silver will have to rise almost 17% in price because for those coinages you will have not only paid the highest premium when you purchased them you will have to pay approximately the same premium when you sell. Silver stacking coinage is a fools errand.
