The model clubs I have belonged to in the past suggested running "light" when running in ... no coaches. But different manufacturers may have different requirements of course. Thanks for the video.

Thats good to know thank you, i suspect running light is definitely more kind to the loco, if you had new brushes put in the motor for example and they needed to be run in.. thanks again, good to know what others do when running in 👍

Excellent loco. I've been keeping an eye out for one of these models for some time. As Trevor Banyer commented, most tender loco's have spare wires in their accessory packs, although often these aren't sold with 2nd hand models. I have about 4 sets handy now. 10 pounds is probably a bit much if you just want the wires though. I would do the repair as you did if needed instead.

Thanks Steve, the only thing i would say if making/fixing your own wires is to look into using silicone wire instead, think i mention that quite alot in the video lol 😂

For future reference, the wires are included in the accessory pack that came with the loco originally. These are available on the website for £10 (just had a look), although there isn't one specifically for the silver/grey A4's.
