You didn't need to use a new resistor in the end as you used the ones at either end, is that correct ?
@ThisWayWorksTWW2 ай бұрын
At 20 Minutes and 17 seconds I show the resistor I used for the lights, you will need to add these otherwise you may blow the LEDs. You have to put 1kohm resistors in. One at each end
@russelljennings93192 ай бұрын
Yes, but you used the ones that came with the train, I think what confused me was in the written bit of information you posed you said you needed a resistor and then pasted a link to Amazon to buy it and I wondered where this was to go. Anyway it’s a great video very informative, many thanks.
@ThisWayWorksTWW2 ай бұрын
@russelljennings9319 the tiny smd 1k resistors i put at either end i soldered onto the led PCBs. On the stock loco main PCB the same thing is done via onboard resistors however because these get removed you have to get some new resistors and add them to the light circuit of the loco. The TTS decoder will output around 12v for lights so we need to drop that voltage down for the LEDs on the loco using those resistors i soldered to the centre pins on the LED PCB's. If you know roughly where in the video i say the confusing bit i shall take a look, I may of said something fruity 🤣
