Another GREAT video by Silverpicker!!, Also I have recently wanted to start a bank notes because I think those old style notes just look so cool, and just to hold a note from say the 1800s is just so cool because it went through a lot of hands over the years and into yours, and its a cool piece of history. I like the WW2 Finish coins you sent Christian, but besides that I think I'd rather have the grab-bag you received... both of you did very well and it seems like a win-win (even if you didn't consider the boost potential it has for both your channels). I ordered the same little scale you have about a month ago and it FINALLY got here this week. I am ashamed I didn't already own one (especially as an ancient coin collector) but I have go to say I am just in love with it! I stayed up a little too late weighing all of my ancients which had not been weighed, and it was a lot of fun. I cut a small piece of rubber I place on the scale and tare, so I don't scratch coins taking them on and off the scale. Thanks for the recommendation, including shipping it only set me back like $15 and I love the size and it is exactly the scale I need, no less and no more. #scaletwins

@@Silverpicker Yes, I believe that was me. I still need to write you a letter; I have your PO Box written down at home. Ancient coins are my passion, where I get most excited. WW2 coins are my second area of interest, which I define as any coin altered by the war such that it is different than it would have been without the war: so a 1943 steel penny counts where a 1942 one does not, since we could assume a 1942 penny would have been no different. As you probably already know, there is a Palestinian coin which had different metal content due to the war and I have one of those in my WW2 set -so we have a little bit of overlap! I want to be a part of getting you excited about ancients though -whenever I do write you a letter I will tell you about my personal journey and how I get into them.

The Premier function allows everyone to watch the video at the same time and live chat with me during the video. I usually launch my videos at 5pm EST on Thursdays, so the launch time is actually the same, you just see a promo for it early. In any case, I take it as a compliment that you want to watch now :)

That first bill would be from the Weimar republic before the inflation which really started after the 1928 crash.

That's not totaly right. From 1922 to 1923 were a hyperinflation in Germany. At the end, they change 1 trillion old Mark to one new Rentenmark (later changed 1 : 1 in Reichsmark). During the great depression there was a economic decline, thats lead to the Nazi-regime and they friesed the prices, so there was a silent inflation, wich comes in effect after WWII. This leads to the next currency change from 10 old Reichsmark to 1 D-Mark (Deutsche Mark). So there were two inflations in the first half of the 20. century in Germany.
