I literally own all of these movies. "The First Power" is unappreciated awesomeness. "Career Opportunities" is worth watching simply because Jennifer Connelly was at her peak nuclear hotness in it. "Mo Money" is a solid action comedy and who knew Stacy Dash was going to turn into a right wing whacko? "Aspen Extreme" is a hilarious unintetional parody of what I thought my life was going to be like after I hit it big on Wall Street. Stay in college, kids. "Reality Bites" is a generational classic, despite the fact rewatching it now makes you understand everyone in the film made the worst possible life choices and are probably miserable now. "Demon Knight" is just fucking awesome and is probably as close to a live action "Martha Washington" flick that we'll ever get. "The Trigger Effect" is an awesome low key end-of-the-world flick and a pretty good look at what would actually happen in a world without air-conditioning. "Money Talks" is just fun. "Very Bad Things" is one of the most unappreciated films ever made. It's a genius film. I will fight you over this. Great cast, great dialogue, just one my favorites. "GO" is brilliant. Probably the best use of a mostly CW cast ever put on film. Timothy Olyphant should have been cast as Jesse Custer in "Preacher" back then.

I think it was just too vague. Don't really know anything about the characters, or the blackout, and the ending is a bit soft. But gratuitous nudity is never a deal breaker 😂

Haha yeah I grew up in Seattle and have spent the past 25+ years in San Diego so I have a little love for the Padres too. If hell ever froze over and they actually locked up in the World Series I'd have to side with my M's.

Go is a Pulp Fiction clone. I would love it if it got a 4k release. Very Bad Things I didn't really get it at first then I got a little bit older and you really get the jokes and humor so much more. It even got remade as the gender flipped 'Rough Night' but that movie is tame in comparison and really doesn't work.
@MoviesNeverSayDie3 ай бұрын
I agree the humor in Very Bad Things grabbed me more as I got older. I remember Rough Night I had to cover that when I was a critic and it was like a mashup up of Very Bad Things meets Weekend at Bernies haha.

@MoviesNeverSayDie You just couldn't go there with the really dark humor in Rough Night and if you did with an all female cast audiences would be even more horrified.

you know of Joshua Tree (1993) ? Dolph Lundgreen best movie in lead role and clearly John Woo inspired action scenes, Kristian Alfonso was quite hot in it and George Seagal a great badguy and cool forgotten movie BLACK DOG (1998) Patrick Swayze as badass trucker , Meat Loaf as bible quoting badguy , lots of cool practical action scenes

Man I dont think I've seen Joshua Tree since i was a teen. Black Dog! Great times I watched it earlier this year on Pluto I think it was.

@@MoviesNeverSayDie same director of sorts Vic Armstrong, he directed Joshua Tree and was stunt director for Black Dog, hence a similar action style with practical effects
