Clara bow A strong woman, she was talented and had a beautiful smile, she really shines in her Hollywood era but it's a shame that most of her movies are not available now.❤ May her soul rest in peace❤

I didn't notice this until I read it in Wikipedia: When Adela asks, "Monte, I wonder if there's anything between them?" the first two letters of the ship's name, Itola is between our two lovebirds. You can see it at 1:15:19 and again at 1:15:31.

CLARA BOW Was The Cutest Thing In Silent Movies!!
@amylausborne86754 жыл бұрын
Iam so grateful to live in a time where I can find and enjoy such great entertainment to just get "lost" in a wonderful, clean story. I escape the "poor acting" that is happening by those in control seats (government, financial tycoon's, big tech, social media).. although they are great at directing accountability elsewhere. Anyhoo.. great flick! Thanks 😊

clara bow 💞 i hope babylon does you justice. angel of beauty and talent forever, and even though she isn’t discussed enough nowadays, this movie and her creating the term “it girl” means she will live on in pop culture forever 🤍

The explanation of what "IT" is, is scientifically explained in chapter 4 of a new book called "Why Some People are Not Attracted to Members of the Opposite Sex" by John Hibbert. Elinor Glyn almost certainly had "IT" herself which enabled her to write about this quality in her 1927 book "IT".

Whatever 'it' was, Clara Bow had it by the truckload. It's a shame she left the movies at only 28 and couldn't control her inner demons that made her a recluse in those later years. Peace.

Err. They were called 'title cards' and the rest depended on focusing on the visual performances.
@bobpierce1154 жыл бұрын
@@silverscreenclassics9210 I love watching them just as the audiences did originally. The visual performances tell the story very well along with the title cards. I was born in '57, love the '20s (and Clara Bow) so this is the closest I can get to "experiencing" them. The quality of the picture is amazing, just like (or perhaps even better?) than the audiences would have seen in 1927. Thanks so much, Silver Screen Classics.
