it's amazing how Silverstein can stick up to the "new school" post hardcore and still gave them a couple of classes to all this new bands. It's like "fuck you, bitch, we've been here even before you were born, let me show you how it's done"

For their back catalog, no. And in respect for that back catalog, this radio play designed garbage should make them some money.
@nicholasteal28387 жыл бұрын
up to this point they have not been making songs that are generic and radio play driven. the last three songs released have been lifeless radio drivel
@aceneedsaband7 жыл бұрын
Nicholas Teal I'm giving up on you. one of their most generic songs they've ever put out. although they've never been trailblazers , songwriting and melodies have always been the band's claim to fame.

Late night, I try to focus on the blurred lights Neon signs and my hands are freezing Snow blind with my head down with the wind in my eyes This icy road stares back Thereʼs only so much hope when every place I go Reminds me Iʼll never get back home But thereʼs no time, I look up into headlights The screeching tires seem to call my name I deserve this, itʼs all true Iʼm burning up Everything you said hit me like a car wreck Face down on the cold ground Slipping away as the past comes back Iʼm face down on the cold ground Slipping away as it fades to black Whiplash, a thousand thoughts converge on impact A cry for help But thereʼs no one left and the silence wins again Iʼm barely breathing as they call my name I deserve this, itʼs all true Iʼm burning up Everything you said hit me like a car wreck Face down on the cold ground Slipping away as the past comes back Iʼm face down on the cold ground Slipping away as it fades to black But in the pouring rain I never felt like that, you said you felt the same Canʼt spend another day here I keep looking back as youʼre looking away Everything you said hit me like a car wreck Everything-everything you said hit me like a car wreck Iʼm no better than bad luck Walk away while you can Walk away while you can Turn the page then nail the book shut Just walk away while you can Just walk away while you can Just walk away Face down on the cold ground Slipping away as the past comes back Iʼm face down on the cold ground Slipping away as it fades to black But in the pouring rain I never felt like that, you said you felt the same Canʼt spend another day here I keep looking back as youʼre looking away Just walk away while you can Just walk away while you can

How the drummer has managed to stray away from double bass beats, unlike every other drummer out there baffles me, but at the same time sets Silverstein apart from any other musical category.

Kill TheFlaws dude i know! Paul is so good and i love that he doesn't have to overload the song with double bass for it to be "heavy"

I told Paul that when I met him, huge influence to my playing, especially his single pedal beats. Such an inspiration. His spacing of his kicks are in a league of their own, ONCE you figure out his basic formula to writing it's like Christmas..

@weapon_x2617 жыл бұрын
Nick Fecteau I hope you realize Rise has nothing to do with how a band sounds....these comments about Rise turning bands generic really needs to die.
@JJTheTubster7 жыл бұрын
+Woe, Is Me [&] That’s not entirely true. I definitely get what you’re saying, but his first statement has some merit to it. Labels, for the most part, will sign similar artists. If you like one Rise artist, you’ll most likely enjoy others. As a business, this is their intentions.
@weapon_x2617 жыл бұрын
JJTheTubster I personally don't have any problems with that. There's nothing wrong with liking Every band on a label even if they are similar. Old and new Rise bands are what made Rise big in the first place. I'm just tired of seeing these comments dissing Rise and their bands, like if silverstein were signed to fearless you wouldn't see this kind of comment.
@kevinperri937 жыл бұрын
Woe, Is Me [&] most of the comments come from bands like of mice and men, Memphis may fire, and crown the empire becoming softer and losing what made them special and unique. I'm personally ok with a band going a bit softer as long as they stick true to what made them special
