Just been reading all the comments, some people think they are Rossi- all about the chicken strips blah blah blah. Did you enjoy it... YES, was it your own bike you wish to go home with at the end of the track day.... YES. Who gives a SH*T, we live in a horrible society of "BIG" Egos and quite frankly small minded people. looks really fun. I think you had your cam in a perfect place too..gave a really good feel..especially to a guy who hasn't rode for abit. I like to watch the lines they take..also like the respect given to a faster rider. I fallow two types of riders..the USA mental heads and the UK information heads. both are fun to watch in there own way. any way injoyed the virtual ride fella. must admit I do love telling the USA guys I follow that with bikes we have real history. There's a film that was made to give riders advice on riding. It's called Twist of the Wrist. It has the most appalling acting you've ever seen, the worst plot too, but I've found the advice really useful from it. There was a sequel too. It teaches you a fair bit to improve your confidence. I'd recommend you watch them both before your next track day. I'm moving to towcester soon, so I will be right by the track. Looks like lots of fun. Have a good one :D

Looks like a great day out. Thanks for sharing. I'm loving the intro with the nod from one camera to the other. It's getting more TV like presentation wise than an amateur vlog. Anyway back on topic. If you are lucky enough to own high end kit, track days are essential to test yourself and the bike. I defy anyone not to grin like a maniac under your lid out on track, great feeling.
@TheMissendenFlyer8 жыл бұрын
Yes it was a great fun day - shame the rain came and put an early end to it though, wasn't brilliant value for money thanks to that....and thanks for the kind words re presentation, just my attempt to make the intro slightly less tedious but I've had mixed feedback! All the best - TMF
@UnknownProdrive8 жыл бұрын
+TheMissendenFlyer The biggest issue with track days and value is time on track I agree. If you throw in iffy weather it can start to feel like a bit of a rip off. You're always gonna get mixed views on stuff comes with the territory. Presentation style is merely cosmetic from where I'm sat. Whats more important to me as a viewer is that the sound and picture quality are tip top which they seem to be so well done sir.

+TheMissendenFlyer Jesus that is hard to swallow. I suppose that is the difference between a 5k bike and a 12k bike. I guess you have to look at it as if the worse did happen you would be so thankful that you did splash out, it's the 2k excess that is taking the piss
@TheMissendenFlyer8 жыл бұрын
Yes exactly, with the termi cans and ducati performance bits and pieces I paid nearer £15K for the bike and the thought of having someone take me (and it) out on a track day is pretty scary, hence why I shelled out...but it does make me think twice about doing further track days at £400 a pop!

@TheMissendenFlyer8 жыл бұрын
Hey Richy - ...and yes, even if you're not a massive track fan I think all bikers should have a go at this at least once. A bit like off-road riding, it really opens your eyes to the limits of biking and ultimately makes you a better overall rider as a result (that's what I think anyway). I did have a concern, not so much about coming off myself, but worrying about others doing something silly and taking me out....hence the track day insurance I took out this time. Anyway, recommended if you get the chance - Donnington isn't far from you and is a brilliant track....all the best mate - TMF

no offense, but you really need to grow a set of balls. why go on a track and then cruise through the corners with literally 3-4k rpm? thats too low even for a good sight seeing tour of silverstone... i am usually not the one to put people down, but with your riding skills you are better off with a bmw or japanese bike - an easy to ride bike. it is very easy to see that you are struggling with the bike itself and the panigale is already very beginner friendly. yes ducatis are nice bikes, but so far it looks like the bike is driving you.
