Ya know, I kinda get the feeling that Shadow almost wanted to make Silver angry. But not because he thought it’d be funny or something, but because he thought it was the best way to help Silver with his growing stress. It’d give Silver an outlet for his anger and Shadow knew/thought he could handle an angry Silver in a fight better than anyone else would be able to. Of course, that’s not exactly the best method to help a stressed friend, but it’s what Shadow thought would help. And Shadow is notoriously bad at feelings. Then when Shadow realized he was in a bit over his head, he tried to undo his actions, but Silver was already so riled up that everything Shadow said made things worse. It wasn’t that Shadow wanted to be a bully or just is one, it was that Shadow was trying his best to help his friend without knowing how to. Then he realized that his method was causing more harm than good and tried to rectify it, but he’d pushed too far and Silver wasn’t able to calm down. At least, that’s my way of explaining the sudden turn around in Shadow’s attitude, as well as the fact that Shadow didn’t try to physically fight back.

I never understand that everyone gives Silver crap, I get his game appearances where sub par. But IDW has fixed that with his comic appearances and to me they redeemed him as a character. This is painful to watch. Honestly getting so angry that you loss control to a degree that you terrify everyone around you and accidentally hurting someone you care about, I’ve experienced this first hand and it sucks. Shame on Shadow for letting his recent depiction in Sonic media, Specifically in the aforementioned IDW’s comics get to him. Both parties suck here. But it definitely falls on Shadow. Praise: It's a fantastic concept, and I really like how you wrapped up the story, and the beginning of the story felt natural as well. Critics: An easy thing to do when time is tight is to draw to quickly how each scene ties into the next, and how each character would react to the other. Now a bully like Shadow in this story, so consistently dark and cynical, would take more time to to realize what he did wrong, otherwise, the pace at which he realized his error would suggest that the morals he suggested about himself and to Silver would easily come to his mind before he started taring into Silvia, Blaze and Silver.
