I thought I'd get these three talking together. 90s Furby, 90s Furby Baby and Shelby. If you position them right, they will all interact. Foxolate was having two conversations at once lol!

Hi! I recently got a furby boom off eBay and I know how to put it to sleep but every time I do it wakes up at the slightest movement. Is there any way to keep it asleep without taking the batteries out? Thank you for reading ❤️

They don't really sing that much. Sometimes they hum a little tune but you can't teach them it.

Best way to start them talking is as follows: Pet Foxolate's back a few times (having woken up all three of them), until he lets out two gentle purrs, then says his name. Put them in the same position they are in towards the end of this video! Once Foxolate says his name, the Furby Baby and the Shelby will then interact - depending on which infra-red light the one not speaking sees first he will react to that one. These old 1990s Furbys use infra-red lights to communicate - according to the instruction manual supplied with Shelby, he can talk to other Shelbys, Furbys, Furby Babies, Gizmos and ETs - except that, to him, it's a Furby! There is a video somewhere on here that sees a 1998 Furby interacting quite freely with something called a Robonagi! It is somewhat unfortunate that, despite being effectively the same species, the different Furby generations can't communicate with each other - at least, not properly! Someone in the comments mentioned a 20th anniversary Furby - what would he be like? Elements of all of them? Looks like none of the others, yet he can communicate with all of them? The ultimate Furby! And how cute would he be?

Yes that's a good way to get them talking. Lol I always seem to pet one and hope another of them sees. A 20th anniversary Furby would probably be made of a special material, maybe sparkly or something. I don't know what the design would be like though. It would be nice if it was close to the original but with updated gears and motors so its movements were more quiet and fluid.

Maybe I might have some elements of each Furby over the years,maybe the manes and tails of 1998’s or also the 2005’s voice recognition function, maybe the eyes will be full colour lcd like the connect’s eyes, or maybe even each having their own personality! Who knows.

maybe the next furby should have lcd eyes but aren't backlit and you can still see the colored eyes in a normal light level
