Sim Racing Cockpit Build // Is the OBUTTO R3volution still good in 2020? + Fanatec Gear /part 1

I am building a new sim racing set up, and decided to go with the Obutto R3volution and triple monitors. We will unbox, build and take a first look at the Revolution cockpit and well as Obutto's triple monitor stand. For this build I also went with the Fanatec CSL Elite wheel base, the Clubsport 918 RSR steering wheel, Clubsport Shifter SQ V1.5 , and the CSL Pedal Set with Loadcell brake. Nice video :-) I am considering this rig. I would also like to be able to use it for flight sims too. Did you ever try using it with a flying simulator ?

Great video. I just received my R3V, waiting on the Fanatec equipment and AOC monitors to turn up. How do you find the seat runners? Mine seem to bind up half way thru’ the travel. Looking forward to the next part.

Hey John, Its been a great set up so far. The seat runners didnt give me any problems. Maybe try loosening the bolts and set the sliders to the middle, then tighten back down. They can help square them up and make them a little smoother. Part 2 is coming friday, edititing it right now.....

Thanks for the advice. I think the runner had a little bit of distortion so realigning and tightening it right up did the trick.

@@TravisBrodie gotcha. Im just getting back into it after a 5 year Hiatus. I have the DOF Reality H3 motion rig, and HP Reverb, but I can't do VR past like 30 mins, so I just order 3 32" 1440p monitors. I gonna try my older PC just for racing, the 3930k with GTX 1080, but if that can't handle it, I'll use my older Ryzen 7 with 1080ti instead. Im not gonna move my main 9900k with 2080ti for the sim rig, so this will have to do for now. But all that should be in tomorrow sometime. I have have the Obutto Rev monitor stand, and just got the triple screen add on's for it, so I should be good to go.. Cant wait.
