Exactly. KZbinr business model is tough to trust, KZbinrs have to create content, product reviews are easy content. If KZbinr gives neutral/positive review product companies will send them more stuff as it's basically just part of their marketing budget. KZbinr gets views and ad revenue from youtube from easy content. No amount of "product company has no say in this video what so ever" can convince me that it's not mutually beneficial for career youtubers to support the product. No chance he uses this long term.

Dave I’ve learned a ton about racecraft from watching your race videos, particularly how important consistency and patience is. Consistency translates to pressure on the guy ahead and patience is what you need in order to make the most of little mistakes they make as a result of that pressure. Thank you for sharing so much content! These gear videos are nice little treats as they offer a little perspective from somebody who spends a lot of time in the rig. I agree. I have the same setup. I have two of the pucks tucked into one of those automotive lumbar support seat cushions and two additional shakers under my pedal tray. It really adds immersion and gives the impression that you are moving, because I can feel the “road” under me. The shakers plus VR, really create a cool experience. I think it’s a cool rig upgrade, if you can’t afford a motion platform. If you tune them well with Sim Hub, I think the shakers can be used to help me feel loss of tire grip.

I've got one of these being delivered hopefully next week, I'm so excited to have even a little bit of feedback in my bum and back.
@Hardcaslte2 жыл бұрын
I know you've used full motion rigs before, not sure about bass shakers. In December I put a dayton audio shaker under my seat and under my pedals and it's changed everything. It takes a while to dial it in, some sims are different like rFactor really only does gear shift, road vibration, and road rumble, and tire lock up. It doesn't do ABS, TC, and even though you can turn it on it doesn't really do wheel slip for under/over steer. ACC does all of them, ABS is freaking amazing feeling if you set it up right at the right frequency, etc. All of that said, even with all of those added ones missing in rF2, I still won't race without my shakers on. It really gives you a feeling of weight on the car like you're actually driving over the road with a car that has weight. If you can turn on all of the effects like in ACC, and get them setup well so they don't overlap each other and all of that, I actually barely use the feedback in my wheel to tell what the care is doing. I can completely feel and adjust my driving from the vibrations in the seat and frame, it's amazing. If you get the right feedback strength tuned in, it'll blend in with the wheel vibrations. My wheel is generally around 15nm, so you can imagine the vibrations are basically matching the 15nm vibrations in the wheel, it comes together in a seamless sensation. With the Dayton Audio and Aiyima A07 (with upgraded power supply for around 150 watts), its only about $250. All run in Simhub.
@alexanderbraun92942 жыл бұрын

@@alexanderbraun9294 I have the Dayton BST-1 under my pedals mounted to the 4040 aluminum with tnuts, the other BST-1 is under my seat with a strap (for some reason the seat I'm using has a really tight strap which works perfectly). Using the Aiyima A07 for one and a spare nobsound amp I had sitting around for the other one. I'd say get an Aiyima A07 and get the power supply that shows on their list for around 150 watts. It's going to split the watts between the two shakers, so you'll end up with around 75 watts available per shaker which gives you some over head.

I don't know... I'm already sceptical about stuff like the Feelbelt, but this looks like a way too thick protection mat or something like that for gaming seats... cannot imagine sitting on such a thing when sitting in my Trak Racer TR160 Rig... if there was a way to put it on the OUTSIDE of the seat, like on the back and underneath the bottom, not INSIDE which adds a considerable thickness and takes away the snug and sports car feeling of a GT-seat in a rig... I get it that this might be a cheaper and maybe even more effective kind of FFB compared to Buttkickers. But I don't want to have the feeling of sitting in a child safety seat while whirling a Porsche GT3 car around my favorite tracks. Sorry if that might sound harsh, I don't mind if someone praises such a device and uses it with joy. I just can't imagine doing so myself in that case. But some people here already commented: This might be a thing for future sim rig seats fully integratet into the seat's cussions. Should be a doable thing, maybe also in a way that makes it possible to replace them if needed, just like the dull normal cussions on those seats already on the market. If there were such a seat for lets say 500-600€ instead of the app. 300€ being priced on standard sim rig seats, I might be interested. More interested in that, than let's say the O-Rouge seat with cooling. Which are basically fans blowing through special cussions letting air pass through better... but you could DIY this, surely very cost effective. In my opinion an airconditioning device is a better choice, since the avid sim racer not only suffers from 'swamp ass' as Will Ford likes to put it, but you're also sitting amidst a screen array being almost like a solarium. So the sweating track record breaking virtual racer needs air conditioning. Let seats do their real job: immerse you into the feeling of sitting in a race car. FFB is more welcome here, as an integrated feature, not a heavy thick mat ruining all your sophisticated calculations and tweakings in order to get your seat position right. (Not all of this is to be taking full serious, but I think you get what I want to express, hehe)

I have the u shake 6 by sim racing studio, complete let down. Maybe Next level is doing something good.

Could you enlighten more? Karl Gosling said the hf8 is basically rubbish because the latency for the motors to turn on or off is terrible. And the u-shake 6 is (apparently) much better. Was thinking of getting the u-shake 6 myself. Appreciate your opinion

Looks very promising but you've got the price wrong by $100 so you may need to edit that or pin a comment mate .

The price was correct when shooting the video 4 weeks ago 🫤 Edit, I've searched my emails and I was in fact wrong. No idea where I got that price from 😳

Ok but pinning that fact to comments so people know this would be very helpful I think .Cheers

Dave....why did you only try it in iRacing? I just bought this and like many others, found out it DOES NOT WORK WITH KUNOS GAMES. The software is pure shite.
@davecamyt Жыл бұрын
I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work on Kunos games 🤔

I have the HF8 and never used the Next level soft. I use Simhub, it supports all the SIMS.
@StevePhoenix2 жыл бұрын
It could be good in titles where it works, but compatibility is awful as only 10 games work with it. Even mainstream titles like Dirt Rally 2.0, WRC franchise games, ETS2 and ATS aren't compatible with the software unless you use the 3.5mm jack. 3 of my favourite sims, rFactor 2, Automobilista 1 and BeamNG don't work with it, either. I can use Simhub for all those titles and many more besides. I hope they expand the compatibility list or this is useless to quite a few people.

SIMHUB, supports it in all the SIMS.

It's an embargo. Can't release the video until a specific time dictated by the company. Great first comment on the channel though 👌
