SIM are quick big(ish) in the Japanese rock scene, they’re at many major festivals. I think they’re around pretty long, first got to know them about ten years ago they already had plenty of stuff released. I haven’t been listening to their newer stuff (except now The Rumbling) but back then I really liked “Crows” and “Who’s next”. They often have this ska in influence in their music mixed with punkish and metal elements I’d say. Also, if you like heavy and crazy changes you might like Dexcore from Japan, they’re more on the metal core / visual kei side. “Brainwashing” is probably the best reaction fit, “Who’s fault” and “Naked” are my personal favorites and “Earthworm” is the heaviest but that might not be the best for a first reaction (remembering Killswitch 😝)
