SiM, is a band known for combining a lot of rock/metal with reggae. Very unique in that sense. The lyrics to this song specifically reflect a lot of the narrative that is going on within the story. This song was used as the theme song for the final 4th season part 2 animated adaptation of the manga (comic) Attack on Titan.

The rumbling has way more synergy with the anime then the song presents at face value if you go and watch attack on titan as your first anime you honestly cant really go wrong with that. The line where he says "i never wanted to grab a knife." Imo references what happens with who the enemy is and who it evolves into.(if you want more details on what that means youll have to watch the anime mwuahahaha) Very very good anime to those who havent seen it and want action politics and insanity i highly recommend checking it out. Aot will be remembered at the level of dbz in the future. Shits crazzzzyyyyyyy.

"All I ever wanted to do was save your life, I never wanted to grab a knife" is referring to when Mikasa's (the heroine for this part) family got killed and she got kidnapped. Eren went to save her and ended up stabbing 2 of the kidnappers to death. So basically he's saying he wanted to save her without murdering anyone which is really where the story starts to change in the anime. This is only in the 6th episode of the first season.

Okay, you need to react to Detroit Metal City - Satsugai. Detroit Metal City is a manga (Japanese comics) series that parodies metal culture in Japan (and other music genre cultures) using KISS as a basis for the on-stage appearances of the main characters. It's about a young Japanese man who wanted to do Swedish pop music, and somehow became the lead of a death metal band, where he's continuously pushed to make more and more outrageous songs and performances. They hired an actual metal singer to come in and record the songs for the anime version (which is amazing too, it's spot-on for the first arc of the manga) and it's actually super legit.

To answer your question, a lot of animes have artists create songs for animes. Many times song you hear for the ending and opening are originals.
