SPOILERS For me, it beats the first OP for one big reason. "Guren no Yumiya" is EPIC, but in the end, it is structured like any anime opening: a collection of scenes and images to help us prepare for the episode. But "Rumbling" has got *cinematography*. It literally looks like a movie. Eren's walk on the wall looks beautiful. The juxtaposition of Shifters and their Titans, coupled with screamo, is very powerful. And that shot of our guys standing on the wall in their old cadet's uniform destroys me every time. Especially remembering Sasha during the words "Live to die another day", because that's literally what happened to her. SHe lived through all those historical events, only to die during another such event.

I've seen the first 3 seasons of this show (I'm behind). Highly recommend it even for people who haven't seen anime, it's not too long (English dub is okay to watch, don't let people tell you otherwise). Very violent though. There is probably a longer version of this song that either is out or will come out. I haven't heard this before and I'm blown away by how it's managed to trump previous openings for this show.

It's just so weird to hear Kirito's voice actor as Eren, but yea the dub is def one of the better ones, id still recommend original because I feel the emotions are there more. Not taking away from the dub, but i just feel like the sub hits harder. If you cant stand reading and watching or pausing and going back after you have all info then so be it. But sub > dub all day imo. Even if only by a hair in some cases.

SiM can be best described as a Ska Metalcore band. They did a few more anime openings. Most notably Existence and LET iT END for Rage of Bahamut. That said, I surprisingly can't really recommend much of them, they're not bad, just not entirely my style. The Rumbling is an outlier for them, other stuff has a stronger focus on Ska.

Attack on titan is one of those things you only get to experience once in a century I’ve seen many many ANIMES like Berserk,HxH,FMAB,Cowboy Bepop,Yu Yu Hakusho, Evangelion, Etc... And I can honestly say Attack on titan stands on top of all those AOT is on a league of its own It’s masterfully crafted Perfectly written Characters, Music,Art, Animation, Voice acting, And most importantly The story this is by far the greatest story I’ve come across not just in anime but every medium out there compare it to the greatest books, greatest movies, greatest anime, the greatest fictional stories written out there etc... Attack on titan is the closest thing to a Masterpiece that we can have no other anime or TV/Movie comes even close to AOT this is the Greatest Anime sorry Let me refrace that This is the Greatest Fictional Story ever written My favorite written story ever was lord of the rings and this now has surpassed it Easily. Oh and forgot to mention The Greatest Fictional Protagonist Ever you’ll see what I mean ;)

One more thing is that the re-watch value is insane, this show gets 2x better when you watch it again after the ending. AoT has the best story, world building and characters with many deep philosophies ingrained in each one of them (especially the main protagonist). It's like the ocean, the deeper you dive into it, the more beautiful and darker it gets.

same dude, they say its overhype but the truth is AOT deserves that! I love vinland saga, death note, evangelion, doctor stone, monster hxh, naruto, one piece etc but AOT stands out because it can be watch by anyone women/men/lgbtqia+, adult/young adults, smart/average especially non anime watchers because tho its too dark there were still humor behind it, the topics are relevant to society so everyone can relate. and its short compare to old shounen/shoujou animes which is tolerable for busy people

I REALLY recommend attack on titan. It’s very good and I’m not a huge anime fan but have watched a few and this is the best one I’ve seen and probably the best I’ll ever see. All the openings were good (imo I didn’t like season 3 opening but that’s the only one) and so far it’s around 70 episodes! They release every Sunday in case you were wondering. But yes it’s very good I highly recommend

I promise, as good as it is the first time seeing/hearing it without even having watched a single episode of the greatest anime/manga of all time, it hits much harder once you fully catch up and understand how not only this, but all of the lyrics to the openers, completely correlate to the plot and the story. the thing about attack on titan is you can see any short clip or screenshot of the show and it looks weird af like there’s no way you would be able to know what happens but once you watch the show you realize that it probably has one of the most complex and amazing plots out of any show live action or anime or etc. and that’s not just coming as a huge anime fan but this show has one of the best plots of anything ever made. So many holy 💩 moments and things that just blow your mind away every character is so well written and implemented into their role that it is peak entertainement because you never really know what will happen next and what does happen next is freaking mind blowing everytimeb

Seldom is story telling this good. The song is that much better knowing what previously took place in the story. This is such a dark series that touches on a lot of mind provoking things. Making choices between harsh realities, betrayal, losing friends, hope.. overall it’s a show that kicks you while you’re down and yet it hints to just a little bit of hope throughout. This song reflects it so perfectly. Borderline losing shit while also hinting towards hopelessness.

Not alot of anime have English openings but alot of anime do have dubbed versions, as in a version that has been voiced by English voice actors for Western audiences. But a great anime that does have English in the openings is Vinland Saga, although the accent can make it hard to pick out the lyrics. But if you are looking to get into the world of anime, there are plenty of genres so that nearly anyone can enjoy them. I really enjoyed your reaction, you've earned a subscription from me. @Hoopsick - I'm 26 and never watched anime in my life. I cant get into any anime that I am recommended, and I just gave up because I figured it wasn't for me. I just started this show last week and, let me tell you, it's in the top 3 shows I have ever watched. (Maybe #1) I already binged the whole show and now I am eagerly waiting for the next part of the final season.
