“Charming“ is exactly what this game is. I was never any good at this game, in fact, didn’t recognize it for what it was until many years later, but I really did enjoy it. I loved the atmosphere. Everything was so bright and clean and friendly in that middle-nineties Japanese way. The condos looked so homey, the restaurants so welcoming. I always wanted my towers to be great places to live and that’s all I cared about.

I remember playing a bit of this as a kid off of a demo disk. I remember not entirely getting it at first but I would definitely like to go back and try it again.

Sim Tower was always my favorite of the Sim games. It still baffles me why they keep coming out with Sims and Sim City, but the Tower languished. A little spit and polish is all it needs for a lovely new release for faster computers and maybe some easier menus.

Sim Tower was localized by Maxis from The Tower in Japan. Yoot Tower was the localization (by SEGA) of The Tower 2.Back in the 90's, the medium-intensity simulation genre languished in the face of the race to the top of graphics and more intense games.

You ever heard of a game called Scruffy II? It was an old mac game that had you play as a dog and I believe it was a combination of 2d sidescroller and over the top racing. I've been looking for it for years and think I saw a link of it available on Mac garden but wasn't able to get it to play.

What sorta system are you trying to run Scruffy II on? Its one I would like to cover but it requires System 7 and my mac that runs that is currently out of action.

I think I tried to run it on an emulation system in the past and was having no luck. Is System 7 just too old? Also what happened to your mac?

The capacitors in the power supply have gone bad, happens to pretty much all old computers and its not somthing im equipped to do yet. I will eventually get round to sorting it but it requires learning how to soulder so will take some time :P

Someone with ehx editing skills needs to remove the 30 floor cap on elevators. Itd be more fun having elevators go the whole way and have loads more cars in the shaft.

i could never figure out how ppl got multi elevators when I build one I only have 1 elvelator moving : / still best game ever

Yoot Tower (the tower 2) is better and both games run on windows with Sim Tower (The Tower) requiring the 16-bit subsystem enabled to run on anything newer than windows XP.
