I know I might get some heat for this but I don't care. The confederate flag has nothing to do with slavery and has everything to do with southern pride. It was legit just a flag to represent the south in the civil war which was about the north over taxing the south and nothing with slavery. I love when people don't listen to history.

thank fucking god someone who actually dug a little further than 5th grade history class. the ban of slavery was simply the straw that broke the camels back further destroying income to the southern states, it was simply an unfortunate coincidence, in fact if the north had banned slavery 10-15 years earlier the civil war would have been completely different. as they say the victor writes the history books so ill leave you with this quote from Lincoln “If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that.”
