Rappers and even singers create a alter-ego, a persona and when they're in that mode they become a different person. Even Beyoncé has her alter-ego Sasha Fierce and she's nothing like SF in real life, the total opposite and she needs to have this other persona to be able to perform cause she is shy, quiet and not as fierce and sexy in real life. It's a thing that a lot of artist do for whatever reason they may have? And there are shock value troll like artists out there who say all kinds of effed up 💩 when the day is long. Especially if they're high/drunk 🥴 and out of their minds and I'm just putting it out there as food for thought, cause I've seen and heard some crazy effed up 💩 coming out of ppl's mouths and none of it is true. My daughters boyfriend is a rapper, he was signed to a label in ATL but not for long, cause they effed him over and he doesn't drink/get high or any of that, but he's surrounded by these other rappers who only get in the studio while drunk and high. Even ppl he got to know on a personal level were saying, claiming, rapping and singing about stuff that wasn't true and it pissed him off all the time, cause it was annoying being around them acting all diff and brand new depending if they were high or not or even depending on who they were around and hanging with. So from my point of view I take anything any rapper says with a grain of salt until I get 100% proof. Even Meghan Markle who married into the royal family is mixed and she never claimed her blackness before she needed it to garner sympathy and money after they left the family and moved back to LA. She used to tell everyone she was Italian while applying and auditioning for roles and jobs. But when she got married everyone was racist towards her, if she didn't get her way or anyone critiqued her, they automatically were racist. In LA during the George Floyd situation, she needed to speak up fir black lives matter and lie about how she was there in the 90's and remembers everything, but her dad had money, she went to a private school and her dad had whisked her out of town as long as the unrest was happening. So like I said, you cannot believe any and everything that comes out of ppl's mouths, cause they have a agenda for their persona and it's all about shock value for most rappers to be real. So I'd like to see proof of that actually happening or if he was just talking out of his neck!? If it did happen then I'm NOT for it at all, cause it is P-word territory and I don't stand for that, it's disgusting. So how has he changed regarding him wanting to have fans and friends from all walks of life and it doesn't matter what race they are? Seems like ppl thought he was just saying that just to say it 🤔 Upchurch said he was against any and every extremist organizations! He's not a politician, not a racist and certain ppl don't seem to like that too much. They want him to think like them and expect him to be the person they think he should be and that's just effed up to put that on 1 person who just wants to create music, art and to bring ppl together. I totally get why he's so aggro and annoyed AF now and he's at a point in his career where he could stop making music and create art altogether and he'd be good. But it's what he loves, his passion and he doesn't want or need to be influenced by anyone else than his own self. I just wish ppl would stop with all the politics, all the extremist views and organizations, all the hate and racism. When I listen to music I want to be entertained, enjoy it as a human being and if I want politics, be annoyed, get angry and depressed then I watch the news. I'm a neutral person who was born and raised in Germany, who's bio mom is German, bio dad is Native American. I married a black American man and we have 2 amazing mixed kiddos and they have the best mix out of all of us. Multicultural family and I've seen and experienced the good and bad of politics in Europe and the USA. And it's important to have such a diverse knowledge of all these things, it's important of all the history, past present and future. But there's a time and place for everything just let ppl live, let them live !!!! Music is music, politics is politics, racism is racism and we need to be able to disconnect and separate between those things to make life enjoyable, livable and not make it unbearable, depressive and hateful.
