Thank you so much for posting all these terrific videos. I'm an avid enthusiast of all these classic and iconic vehicles and truly appreciate the wonderful work your museum is doing in the care and presentation of these beautiful and very special vehicles. I love visiting every opportunity I get each year and it's always a fantastic experience. Keep up the great work. Thank you again for keeping this hobby alive and well.

WOW!!! Almost 60 years old and still running & driving! The bungee cords barely keep the spare tire in place as it slides back and forth against the fire control system. I'll bet it's a lot of fun driving it around the parking lot. I think the museum needs a real race track to give their cars the exercise they need to keep them in good running condition. Thanks for sharing ths amazing original Daytone Coupe.

Love the fact that they keep them alive, notjust as a polished museum piece but like a living being!

Plus we don't polish them (much).

Great to see old 2287 out playing. Peter Brock wrote the comprehensive history of the Daytona Cobra Coupes; for a more general history I also recommend Michael Schoen's classic, "The Cobra-Ferrari Wars 1963-1965."

Daytona is a road course. So are Sebring and Lemans. The coupe was the road race car. The frame and running gear were the same as a Cobra Roadster, the rules allowed changing the body so they built the coupe to beat Ferrari on top speed.

Given the history of some of the car's owners, 13 is an appropriate license plate number

Does this have the fuel selector valve mounted on the floor ( for the reserve) like the FIA roadsters?

We’re bungee cords available in 1965?
@SimeoneMuseum3 жыл бұрын
They have been using bungee cords since before WWI and used them in WWI to help provide suspension to the undercarriage of aircraft.
