I always wanted to get a VR Headset but it was always kind of expensive and i wasn't sure which one would fit to me for only Flight Simming. But now i decided to go ahead and try the Pico! Thank you for the Video :)

I did the same. Bought a cool battery pack that has 3 magnetic batteries that was supposed to attach to the headset. I hated it on the headset but I got a usb C extension and can use it on my belt when power goes low. Much better! 😊

There are some earmuffs you could add to the headset; they would channel the sound directly to your ear, it would block out other sound from around you and helps you to stay more immersed in the sim.

This bluelight disabling functionality is already implemented as an option in the settings menu (at least in the Pico 4 Ultra). What kind of difference/improvement do you notice from the "anti-glare" functionality of the lenses ? Except the lenses I modded my PICO 4 and my PICO 4 Ultra like you did, but I also covered the lenses with a thin protective sheet which makes them easier to clean and to prevent them from being scratched. Yes, the PICOs are really nice comfortable headsets as soon as they are modded this way ... these mods are in my opinion a must !!

I'd be interested in using a cable that charges the headset so that it never runs out of power. I am not sure which cable does that, though. Some seem to only charge it slowly, so that it still runs out, be it after a longer time. While I get the benefit of no cables and a viable solution with the 2 batteries you can switch out to achieve the same effect, I'd still would like to find the best/ most viable cabled solution.

I’m not sure I understand your issue. The controller connects to your pc or xbox, not your Pico headset.

@SimHangerFS I saw a video where ya can play Xbox games on ya headset ?! And it also showed him connecting the controller via the Bluetooth settings but mine isn't working ...

I`m still hesitated to get a VR, because is no way to see your real multiple devices bottons setup, but I saw on a video that there is a video camera on VR (Pico 4); can you talk about it, it utilities !?. Tanks in advence, and I appreceate your works.

The headset has a ‘’colour see through’’ mode which is enabled by double tapping the side of the headset. It is very low resolution. Great to find your controllers etc. but not for reading maps or gauges.

Have you tried the virtual desktop supersampling + hevc update? How much would those reduce gpu requirements?

Had my pick for 4 days, love it! Got the Amvr face cover and currently using usb to Ethernet, anyway I’d lie to know how you record your in game footage, it looks great! In the headset built in record 1920x1080 or in OBS?

Hi Mark, are you using the settings (incl OpenXR Toolkit) from your initial video or have made any changes?

Using Steam resolution at 100% (was higher but no benefit) plus sharpening in toolkit @ 70%. Everything else the same.

i am about to pull the trigger on a PICO 4 paired with a 4090. I saw many many comments that the reverb G2 was better because of the compression. I assume with a 4090 if i run it on max (godlike settings) it would be okay?

@@Valkron11 many sources have estimated $3000. it is going to be a much more refined and high end experience than anything we have seen before in consumer VR. i'm very excited to see it with my own eyes but there is no way I could justify spending that much cash

Check your IPD setting is correct for your eyes. If your using DLSS and/or motion reprojection then you could get this. Also make sure to run in 90hz mode.
