Hi I am not a pilot. But I have read that taildraggers are difficult to land and to start because you have to dance on the rudders to prevent them from ground spinning. I don't have to do that and hope this is because these are default aircraft. What do you think? I think it should be not so easy.

sfx 100 motion , hi and thanks for commenting. Taildraggers in flight sim are often more difficult (sensitive) to control than in the real world. This is an improved handling model, but is not yet real world. Hopefully improvements to follow. Regards

@@SimHangerFS Thanks for your fast response. Let's hope so. I like to fly the spitfire in dcs, not because I want to fight but only because it's a challenge to start und land it. I want it's behavior in fs2020 than fs2020 is the optimal simulation for me. Fs2020 states it is calculating forces on over 1000 points on an aircraft. So at least a third party should be capable to do it right. Now landing a taildragger feels arcade to me. If I look at bush flying videos people have to work hard to get a landing in a taildragger right. Regards

This flight sim is absolutely amazing. On other simulators you'd have to spend a damn fortune on scenery addons which will cost an arm and a leg and take up so much disk space. Microsoft really out done themselves with this sim.👍🏻

Try Banff Alberta..it used to be an airstrip but is not on the map. You can find next to the highway junction just before entering north into the town.

It runs so buttersmooth at high end on my pc while p3d with almost all low settings had fps drops all over the place. And the fact you can land at these farm or bush locations... Everytime I fly I am really enjoying my life

Forgotten about this location, went there many times in XP. The scenery is simply stunning, and we have the whole world at the spin of the earth. This SIM is going to be a boon for the Travel Industry,. Out of the box, this sim nails it, and we know with MS, it will just get better. Nice reminder thanks. On landing, you should have got out and stretched your legs.

Thats why i mentioned it, its a nice touch for many reasons. There are probably many little touches we will discover. I have never seen so many people gushing over a software release, MS have made sure not to leave out even those with a potato. Who would have thought that possible in 2020.

Hi Mark, thanks for your video. Yes, the graphics are just fabulous and nothing other sims can come close to. Saw my house and the hotel I work at in Hokkaido Japan. Only flew Cessna and getting accustom to camera system.take off and landing recorded 5/5. So many more areas to explore and other planes to fly. Happy flying!

Had to try this flight...but thought I would overfly both strips first...in the C172. Had trouble finding Moh Creek, but did find it...then went to Quatam Creek. Overflew a couple of times and then decided to land in the 172. Actually got it on with no damage...but it wasn't pretty...and took the whole length. Then when tried to depart hit the tree on the right just at the end of the runway. Going to try again in the Cub. Thanks for this. I made a flight plan for it in Little Nav Map so I can do it several times in the future as I want. Thanks. Garry

The questions about if X-Plane or P3D can compete are quite valid, because in this instance MSFS is backed by an incredibly complex, advanced and expensive Azure global cloud network. Only a few companies in the world have such resources. Its a no brainer what platform developers should be focusing their efforts on.

Great video Mark. I missed out on the alpha and I'm completely blown away by this sim. I'm running a similar set up to you. Mine is a Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb DDR4 @3200 and a 2080ti. Installed on a 1tb M2 SSD and using a 4k monitor. Running at 4K on high, with render scale at 80% and I'm getting from 35 to 60 fps, depending on location, but it runs super smooth :)

BC was my favourite bush flying area in FSX and I'm enjoying exploring the same areas in MSFS2020. :) P.S. I hope we will see more bush aircraft soon, including the classic Beaver, and both without and with floats.

Thank' a lot:) . I purchased it and I must admit that most of the parts of the sim are great. Weather, sceneries, lights. The software is very fluid and most of the time friendly with most hardware. Anyway most of the flights models are a very strange on most planes sadly.

Msfs2020 really looks beautiful at ultra settings. I wonder what it looks like on medium or something between medium and high? Not everybody is able to get such a powerful rig and so far I haven't seen any video showing msfs2020 on some of the lower settings...

Still looks great! I think MFS2020 on high or ultra with a quality monitor beats out ORBX in FSX which was a frame rate killer. Looking forward to more optimization. I’m having a blast playing on high settings (a couple settings on ultra) with 1080p. Looks great to me

Hi Mark, you are very brave taking on those dirt strips, well done for even attempting it :-) Coming from XP11, I am still undecided about MSFS2020, certainly straight out of the box the scenery, water and clouds all look fantastic. However in most aircraft types being flown (as seen on KZbin), the flight modelling looks very dubious if you ask me??? Great video again though, thanks from the UK

@@SimHangerFS After a 2-hour stint, I have to say frame rates have dropped just a tad. Still, frame rates stay well above 30. @ 4K resolutions under High-End recommended settings. I'll be doing some tweaking which may result in overclocking the card in the end.

Hi Mark, great video (big Bush-flying advocate myself) and thanks for sharing your setup. Flying on i7-9700 (8x), RTX 2070S, 16Gb Ram. I'm slowly inching my settings towards Ultra (I was sized up by MSFS as High End). Many buttons to learn... Exploring the world, Netherlands (grew up) looks awesome, PNG (see @missionarybushpilot), so many more places to go. Africa, Japan, St Maarten, got to run!

Looks very good at higher altitudes. Low level, looks last generation flight sim. Trees are procedure generated, all same tone, all same colour, no wind movement. Probably good for low VRam?

Yep you are right very smooth love the live traffic live weather it all looks fantastic and you can be anywhere on the planet with in seconds BUT msf2020 has convinced me I am a VR man and I cant wait to see how that turns out. 😀🤙👍

Great video Mark. I was in the Alpha and beta, and a day before public release, I fired up XP11... Sad to say, after experiencing MSFS, I am going to really struggle going back, and I do worry for Laminar. MSFS is just worlds away, and once we get some quality payware aircrafts, I'm really sad to say XP11 will be condemned to my recycle bin. Even on an I7 6700k and a GTX 1080, MSFS runs decent (high end was preselected for me, with a few dial downs on my part to get it to 20-30FPS). Im going to do an upgrade later this year with an I9 9900k maybe, probably a new MOBO (im on a Asus Z170 Gaming mobo at mo) and look at what Nvidia are doing with their new offerings (3080,3080ti/super,3090) - info released by Nvidia on 1st Sept. I'm probably going to go liquid cooled as well, so will go look at OC or PcSpecialist for a full on build, looking to spend about £3k but will be well worth it to fly this beautiful sim at full settings. You can manually download some scenery files already and then insert it in the game files. there are a few tutorials already

I recognise it for what it is, as I’ve been to both it and Quatam River by PropStrike. Their scenery looks better due to the added props, and as you saw here it’s not even flattened, but the fidelity shown here beats XPlane by a good margin. I look forward to future addon sceneries that will take advantage of this new engine.

Hay mate I really enjoy it runs smooth love the scenery just need some study level aircraft. it has given us what we always wanted good default scenery and weather flying in and out of showers and you can see the showers coming. are you having any problems with the brakes gatting stuck on during taxi

@@georgesiebes I have thrustmaster TPR peddles. what happens is the brakes just stay on after you land, its the same for taxi too. so do you checks line up check park brake is off. so you start your roll and if you touch the toe brakes during the roll the park brake will engage. so you have to disengage it and make sure you only use the rudder peddles to hold the centre line,

Great scenery and runs fine but... have £1700 worth of hardware that I can’t use with it, Hotas rhino throttles, panels and 3 monitors rift s. I thought all Saitek controllers would be fully supported. When I try to set the right toe brake to y axis on Saitek rudder pedals message says this input is not suitable for this purpose but x axis is fine for left brake

My personal reservations about the new FS2020 I have already made some small vr flights on the European continet and everything is quite good with that LOWI Innsbruck with or without the ORBX scenery was just beautiful other airports like EDDM and EDDF fall against: the surroundings of my home country Belgium is not so bad but take for example the city of Antwerp or I was blind but our beautiful Cathedral I just couldn't find: way, as far as EDDS is concerned there I also have my reservations about this can mean two things because the proposition that there are many airports not to be found because of so-called military activities is a not correct take now the Google maps images and there is everything on display they could have also got information here so also my suspicion is rather to look for similarities between certain add-ons manufacturers and Microsoft take BV Aerosoft which already delivered a wonderful add-on of EDDS for Prepar3D and X-plane. Then I also went to look around the Orlando Florida area and I can recommend or also advise you if noting what I mean it was just dire to say the surroundings of the city could still get through it somewhat but try the Disney resorts but once that is simply the lowest of the lowest of at a certain height it still looks human but the closer one gets the worse. I also turned off my internet connection and started the sim because you can also play the sim without the internet and the size of the download Is the reason for this so for those who do not have internet will have to buy the boxed version and there are also problems with that. Again, in the Orlando area made a tour and which surprised me that this looked better than during the online session. Also hear many suggestions that FS2020 is going to be a killer for X-plane and Prepar3d my opinion on this is not the first years forget that the publishers of these simulators are not going to sit still and I have to be honest I don't like X-plane especially the road network is unrealistic, comes in there and a lot of add-ons and hardware for these simulators in marketed that to date do not cooperate with the FS2020. And as many think, the sim has been marketed because money has to be put in the back for whatever reason I hope there's no hair in the butter between Microsoft and the sim's developers and they're not going to make the same mistake as with their previous failed sim from 2012. So, this is a whole sandwich but it had to be from my heart. NOT everyman is happy

bob kinney , hi Bob, problem easily sorted. Start a flight. From the top menu bar select AI Control . There you can choose if you want any AI assistance. Turn control aircraft off. Hope this helps. Regards

bob kinney , confirm it is the in flight menu (top bar that shows when you move your mouse pointer towards the top of the screen) , the one that looks like a captains head with cap? It has three options, bottom one should be control aircraft. That should not be checked.

bob kinney , okay try this. On the same in flight menu go to the left most icon. It should be SETTINGS. This lets you choose which items to show on the pop up menu bar. Switch AI on. Now the captain should show. Follow my earlier instructions.

Danny Day , in the controls section when configuring axis, there is a sensitivity bar you can press and you can adjust (I had to do the same for my Honeycomb) the sensitivity via a response curve.

Make sure they are programmed as axis. If you go into config and just use left and right, rather than axis, they will act like buttons and will be 100% on or off, with nowt in between. If that's the case just reset and do it again :) If you have done em as axis make sure the same controls aren't accidentally set up as buttons too. If they are correct then just adjust the sensitivity but with my honeycomb it was fine at default :)
