I think another thing beyond being cognizant of triggers is just getting more reps in and working on risk assessment. With aggro sometimes you can think too much about "how do I not lose" when "how can I win" is more important. Aggro decks have less resources over time so it's important to focus more on the outs to win. The only aggro deck that can really do the long grind game more consistently is some of the cage convoke lists imo since they can rebuild board state much easier

very true for all games. playing to win vs playing not to lose. not a catch all strategy. sometimes you gotta play defense. but for an aggro deck, there is no defense. attack or lose. thats the deck.

Great tip! I saw a few convoke decks, namely Jeskai Convoke but Azorius Convoke ended up taking it. But, I don't think any of them were running Cage.

shame you didn't get all your cards for the rcq. for a big event i would have made sure i got my cards fast. though i have a number of local stores i can buy singles from. i dont know about your situation. i think the green protection spells make the red aggro decks alot stronger vs its tough matchups. so thats sucks.

I could have come in with a solid Gruul Aggro deck but it wasn't the version I wanted missing some key pieces. But, I should have all the pieces I want for the next one! We have a lot of card shops but they don't usually have a deep singles bench which makes it hard.
