So I just played this deck yesterday in a paper event. Without any experience I went 3-4 beating rhinos, 4 color elementals and dimir bowmasters. Lost to rakdos scam (twice), 8-rack and jund saga. 8-rack and jund saga are definitly beatable. Got a bit of bad luck in my mulligans (even had to go to 4 facing the jund saga player), but nonetheless the deck slaps hard! The preordains are absolute essential and work just the way you would expect. Looking forward to playing it a bit more and get more comfortable with what hands you can keep and what hands you can't (especially facing rakdos scam, since turn 1 thoughtseize or even worse, grief) is absolutely backbraking. Had a few problems with sideboarding, but not with what to put in, (thats pretty straight forward most of the time) rather with what to take out.

I wonder if you should be playing 4 main deck glistener elf now that you are playing force of negation to protect it early. It would increase your percentage of games you get the two two kill. I tend to want to be as explosive as possible in modern on game one and then slow down games 2 and 3, so maybe the play 4 main deck glistener elf with 2 rot Priest in the main and 2 in the side for the more grindy matchups where glistener elf isn’t as good. Thoughts?

There were match that we could have Preordain into Mutagenic on top of library then pump creature + Rotpriest trigger. Shore Up + Gather Courage also combo for the priest. Deglamer might be good against The One Ring. Overall, good content and nice improvement to Simic Infect. Thank you

Thoughts on Shore Up instead of Slip Out the Back? Temporary +1/+1 vs a permanent counter, but you can cast it mid-combat while still keeping the creature attacking. Doesn't stop boardwipes, but you already have FoN for those. Bonus points for randomly ambushing greedy 1/1 attackers out of nowhere :)

Slip out the back gives you lines of play that are just wrong. Allows for double use of pump spells and blanks any and all options from your opponent. Also great for your opponent's potential flash blockers.

I think at 21:38 you could have done the vines trick or even slip out the back (targeting the snoop in response to activation) to stop the combo and maybe win on the following turn if you topdeck land to activate nexus and double might? Or even better, wait for them to target the harbinger again to do the trick so the kiki gets shuffled and they can't combo on their following turn. Maybe I'm missing something... GGs either way, love your content :)

Bowmasters really isn't that big of a deal vs infect. It's basically a removal spell for 2 mana which is medium against us. We also play a lot of effects these days that put +1+1 counters on our permanents.
