Similarities Between Greek And Hindu Mythology REACTION | Vedic India

We react to ancient Greece's connection with Vedic India by the KZbin Channel Radha Mohan Das - Vedic Science and history. What are similarities between Greek and Hindu Mythology or history.
At one point the main culture of the region we now call Turkey and Greece was Vedic. But after around 3000 BCE, as India declined, the Greeks began to incorporate their own history into Hindu stories and histories previous known to their forefathers.
There’s an abundance of evidence for this, such as the similarities between the Iliad and the Indian histories of Mahabharat and Ramayan. But there’s a lot more.
This video shows comparisons between Greek and Hindu gods and heroes, shows the Vedic teachings as a basis of the great Greek philosophers’ writings, as well as similarities in its astrology, fables and cultural features.

@@devicharan7157 according to the Vedas Dyaus pita is the father of the Devas not kashyapa maharshi and aditi like we read in the puranas. Vedic deities Indra, Agni, vayu, surya, varuna and mithra all have their Greek, Roman and Nordic equivalents.

After the Mahabharata war - following kingdoms from the defeated side migrated out of India--the Kuntals, Daanus, Tusharas, Balkhs, Kapasis, Magis, Meelecha (a-brahami), Druids, Salvas, Khambhojas, and others... Kuntals--were Jagannathan worshipers---they settled in Egypt and came to be know as 'Punts' and their practices match with Jagannathan worship practices Daanus - were descendants of Daanu--who is know as the river goddess---they spread to all regions where rivers were named after Daanu-Danube, Dnieper. There is a common misunderstanding that either Western pantheons came from Indian or Indian pantheons came from western. The reality is Proto-Indo Europeans split and went in 2 directions. West and East. Western half mixed with European hunter gatherers and Eastern half mixed with Eastern/South Asian hunter gatherers. Norse, Celtic, Greek, Hindu, Iranian etc are all parallel branches of the same tree. This is why we all have the same gods with minor differences. We all speak extremely closely related languages from Sinhalese in Sri Lanka to Irish Celtic and everything in between the language similarities are remarkable as with all proto-indoeuropean descended sibling languages. Actually the Image was of Lord Krishna but the greeks knew him as Hercules that's why they thought that Indians also worship Hercules but that wasn't the case as Indians worshipped lord Krishna not hercules. But In the end Hercules is Actually a Greek version of Lord Krishna.

More information on Emperor Yayati (who is shown at the very beginning of the video at 1:12): Emperor Yayati was cursed by Rishi Shukracharya for his infidelity (Yayati was son-in-law of Rishi Shukracharya). The story is in Bhagavata Purana. Emperor Yayati, of the Chandravanshi Dynasty (Chandra = Moon, Vanshi = Lineage; Lineage of the Lord of the Moons), rules all over the Earth, appointing 4 of his younger brothers to rule the World's cardinal directions. They set sail to each cardinal direction and start their mini Kingdoms there. One day it so happens that a lady by the name of Sharmishta (daughter of King Vrishparva of the Danavas) and Devayani (daughter of Rishi Shukracharya - who is considered the Guru/High Priest of the Daityas, Danavas and Asuras), go together with their servants to bathe in a forest pool not far from their Palace. After bathing, Devayani confuses Sharmishta's Sari (a single piece of cloth that is worn by women of Ancient India as well as modern India) with hers and puts it on instead. Sharmishta scolds Devayani for her mistake. Devayani belittles Sharmishta with a jibe that her entire family and her father's Kingdom lives and thrives on the blessings of Rishi Shukracharya. This infuriates Sharmishta, who with her servants, throws the naked Devayani into the well and leaves the forest letting her drown in the well. At the same time, Emperor Yayati, who would be out hunting, comes to the well for water. He sees Devayani in distress and helps her climb out of the well. Devayani requests Emperor Yayati to accept her as his wife as gratitude for saving her life. Yayati, considering it a divine providence, accepts her. Queen Devayani would be so upset with Sharmishta for her attempting to murder her, she decides that, as punishment, she would make Sharmishta her slave. She threatens King Vrishparva of dire consequences of a curse from Rishi Shukracharya if he does not allow his daughter to be brought as slave to Queen Devayani. King Vrishparva readily accepts the command of Queen Devayani as he feared the wrath of Rishi Shukracharya. Sharmishta also accepts the punishment. So Sharmishta goes to Kingdom of Hastinapur (ruled by Emperor Yayati) along with Queen Devayani as her maid servant. Rishi Shukracharya, who meets his son-in-law Emperor Yayati, sternly warns him to not have any relations with Sharmishta. Emperor Yayati accepts the command of the Rishi. Then as time passes by, Sharmishta wanted to have a child and she decided to approach the King, unaware of the command he was given by Rishi Shukracharya. She asks the King to bear a child with her. The King refuses fearing the wrath of the Rishi. So Sharmishta reminds the King that it is his solemn duty to protect the interests of his Citizens and it would go against Dharma if he refused to listen to his Citizens wishes and fulfill them. So the King finally yields and has relations with Sharmishta. Queen Devayani gets to know of this infidelity and goes to her father complaining about King Yayati. Rishi Shukracharya would be extremely enraged by the disobedience of his son-in-law. So Shukracharya curses Yayati with premature old-age for inflicting such pain upon his daughter. However, on learning that it was Sharmishta who had requested and that Yayati was duty bound to fulfill her obligations as a King, he relents and tells the King that even though he has no powers to take back his curse, he can provide a remedy: That the King can swap his curse with one of his sons and restore his youth again. By then King Yayati would have given birth to 5 sons: 1. Through Devayani: Yadu and Turvasu. Eventually King Yadu becomes the founder of the Yaduvamsha (Yadu + Vamsha; Vamsha = Dynasty). The same Dynasty in which Lord Krishna takes birth. 2. Through Sharmishta: Druhyu, Anu and Puru. So King Yayati asks his sons if anyone is willing to swap their Youth with his Old age. All of his sons refuse except the youngest one: Puru. As soon as Puru accepts it, the curse swaps and Puru ages instantly while Yayati regains his youth. In recognition of Puru's great sacrifice, King Yayati makes Puru his legitimate heir. King Yayati lives for a thousand years, enjoying his youth, full of passion and pleasures of his senses. Eventually he comes to realize the utter futility of it all and says: "Know this for certain: Not all the food, wealth and women of the world can appease the lust of a single man of uncontrolled senses. Craving for sense-pleasures is not removed but aggravated by indulgence even as ghee poured into fire increases it. One who aspires to peace and happiness should instantly renounce craving and seek instead that which neither grows old, nor ceases - no matter how old the body may become". Having found his wisdom finally, King Yayati abdicates his throne as well as gives up his youth back to his son Puru, accepts old age and renounces the World spending his last days in the forest as a Rishi. After long spiritual practices and Tapasya (penance), he is rewarded for his spiritual progression with a seat in Lord Indra's court in the Swarga Loka (The Realm of the Righteous or Heaven in Sanatan Dharma). This is one step below Moksha which is only attainable through ceaseless Bhakti to Lord Vishnu where the Aatma travels to Vaikuntha (The Param Dhama or Ultimate Abode/Plane of Existence which is never destroyed and always remains separated from the Creation itself). Puru ascends the throne of Hastinapur. Through King Puru rose the Kuruvamsha or the Kurus. The Mahabharata War is the fratricidal War that was fought between two cousins: Kauravas and Pandavas, belonging to the same Kuruvamsha. Lord Krishna was the advisor and teacher of the Pandavas.

And suddenly all over Greece and then Italy it spreaded the cult of Eleusis. with its Mother Earth cult at the centre. Of course there were Druids before in Europe... I don't know none else except my lord Krishna. Some body comes n says anything comparing to is just like he is trying to make us fool . This is human mind n every one has own different perspective so i don't believe in them except about the divine truth of lord Krishna. As we all know that in Bhagvat Geeta lord has said any one who surrender to me will get me n his all sins will be removed by me n will never come to this birth n death cycle. The guy also compare jesus christ name to Krishna is totally disagreeable bcoz you guys tell me we can be like our father as we are his sons but not 100 like him likewise maybe christ is lord Krishna's son but he can never be like him totally because christ hadn't power he gets the power from in the name of his father but here lord Krishna does everything with his own power he doesn't need anyone's power bcoz he is the highest of heights.
