You dont need the spring under the delivery valve holder when testing it, just remove the valve from the body. And to make it 100% easier to see the point of cutoff, take an old injector pipe and cut about 6 inches of it off and make what looks like a fishing gaff hook with it and cut the non-nut end on about a 45 degree slice. This will enable you to see the cutoff point far far easier than just having fuel pour out the top of the d/v holder plus you can direct the fuel into a container.

Yep, I would have but didn’t have any correct fittings kicking around. Mostly work on Detroit stuff if I’m playing diesel, no high pressure lines on those!

Im the opposite down here. Do that style of pump every day and even tho Ive got a unit I made to run Detroit injectors I just dont see any now to use it. Still plenty of Jimmys in boats ( we still have 2 x 6-71's in a tugboat) but just not popular engine like they used to be.

Try injectionpumps over in the Uk. Search that and you should find everything needed for that model pump.
