I love The Mentalist, but I can imagine how awkward it is for him that he wants to do other things and talk about other projects and some fans insist on bringing up the show. The interviewer was smart making fun of the subject and Simon was really smooth finding his way out of it. Great interview!

Great interview, it's always better when the interviewer is a bright and genuine person! I loved Simon's work in everything I saw with him: Breath, Something New, The Mentalist. His capacity to portray emotion is uncanny and his skills as a director are impressive. Above all he seems like a good person so good luck with everything he'll be working on in the future!

That was a good interview, he is a amazing. I’m sure he hears that all the time. But his interviews are down to earth and real. I guess because is projects are real. I’m glad to see that he doesn’t fall into the typical Hollywood stereotype. Plus he is easy on the eyes too. I remember the first time I saw him in the television show The Guardian, I remember watching it and didn’t care what the plot was I just wanted to see him. He is one of the few actors that I would be star struck by if I were to see him in person. Love his work.

Yes, I didn't catch her reference to her dad having passed and I was impressed at how quickly Simon picked up on it, he really tunes in to the person speaking and is a good listener.

He will not go back to that again. We are in 2024 and in an interview either late last year or early this year he stated he would not ever do The Mentalist again. He's producing and directing now and he's really happy in that position. And his work is phenomenal!

Great interview! You brought Simon out in a way that others did not. It's obvious he is not the same Simon of his Mentalist days. Any interviewer who lives in that period of his career in interviews is purposely trying to boost ratings or is superficial about his career.
