Yeah, they are definitely missing some kind of energy that just doesn’t pull me in. It could be that they were all pulled together separately and haven’t gotten to know each other. But obviously it’s possible for that too happen and still works, take for example a boy band like BTS, none of them knew each other before the band, but they have the energy this group is missing.

That’s because they are playing songs that aren’t even theirs, imagine having to show a judge your abilities with only one song and having to stay with that song. once the group joins each other, then the creativity can explode and they can switch things up and make their own sounds and music.

It wasn't long ago, that they were competing with each other for a spot in the band. i think that Fred, Jed & Reece, would have been buddies in high school, if that is where they met . they seem to be affectionate towards each other.. For all the people here who don’t understand why he would start this project: Here’s the very simple equation. Kpop makes a lot of money. He’s succeeded in making a boy band once, so he thinks he can do it again. The challenge is exciting, and he probably wants to bring the boy band craze back to the uk.

He's actually succeeded at least three times lol. Westlife was very successful for a long time in the UK, much like a European Backstreet Boys/Nsync back in their prime at exactly the same time. Then there is Il Divo which is outside the pop arena since they're more an international pop-opera man-band but very much caters to a female audience, and Then came One Direction which was quite popular. Now that Kpop has finally hit an all time high in popularity worldwide, Simon wants to do what he does best: put together another boyband. But if be wants to call it kpop he has to find guys who can dance too lol and ideally rap also. That's what typical kpop is: a combination of pretty faces, charisma, singing and dancing, rapping, and a lot of fashion - everything popular all at once. So if he really wants to compete with kpop and call his group UK-pop, then he has to at least have all those aspects in a group or more. Or do something completely different and equally eye catching. But considering he has followed the same boyband formula for so long, that's a bit doubtful that he would stray from what has worked for him for so long.

It took a long time for things to get sour with 1D. Same with the breakup of the Beatles. I already see a tight bond forming between Fred, Jed and Reece. i think it happened, before the band was fully formed. @Michelle M Out of any group of people, weather they are a bunch of friends or a singing group, thair is sure to be one disgruntled person. the Beatles breaking up, was not one of the 4 that caused problems, It was Jon's girlfriend, Yoko, who caused the problems. These 6 lads, have basically just met. All from different backgrounds. from what little i've seen, friendship groups are already forming. i've said this a few times, it already looks like Fred, Jed and Reece, are bonding. I have a feeling that, there will probably be a power struggle about who should be the lead singer. They all have outside influences. Mothers, Girlfriends, Mates, who are telling each of them "You are the best!" the smart boys will ignore that pressure and be happy to have gotten as far as they have. maybe 1 of them will become disgruntled, over time.
