The extra sad thing is he had said several times that becoming famous and at such a young age… was extremely detrimental to his health. He had stoped drinking 6 months before his life ended and then something happened and it pushed him… and well I’m sure you all read the articles and know what happened 😢 What grinds my gears about the whole thing!!! Harry has now said he is open to the idea. I'm pretty sure that Louis would like to come back if it's the right time. Liam has probably had the most interactions with everybody alongside Niall and has been hanging out A LOT with Louis compared to the others. But Louis is doing well in his solo career and abandoning or focusing less on it at its peak is untimely. I think he'd like to join but it's a little hard to do at the moment. With Zayn it's a mystery but unless it's REALLY special, I don't think he'll come back. I think he'd come back for one or a couple of songs. most likely it would be the 4 of them if they do return with Zayn making a cameo or two.

I wouldn't call them the biggest boy band. There's BTS, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Boyz ll Men, and The Jackson 5. 1D is top 10 though.

In 2016 they were the highest paid boyband of all time according to Forbes. 1D pumped out 5 albums in 5 years along with nonstop tours compared to BSB who has put out 10 albums in 29 years (formed in '93). Social media being around definitely helped their fan base and continuous new music helped keep their fan base active.

Plus it's quiet but at the beginning Simon says to put Niall in a group and then nicole says yes a boy band, and when she says boy band again later he's hesitant and says group. So the group thing is what put it in Nicole's head. Everyone is saying it's all her but you are so right! All 3 of them did it together. Nicole did alot. But so did the others. It would be fair to say the 3 of them created 1d. Unfair to give Simon all the credit though.

Simon did come up with the idea of forming a group first. His voice is quiet at the beginning of the video but he said it and Nicole agreed. Simon picked Niall ("he should be in a group this boy, I'm not saying we gotta do it, but I'd like to imagine it") , Nicole picked Harry, Simon picked Louis, Nicole fought for Liam, and they all went for Zane. Nichole's enthusiasm really pushed it forward though. If she hadn't been so on board with the idea, it may never have happened.

I’m not getting why directioners who know their history are pretending this isn’t true. Harry became the focus cos he was the most popular member of the band. But if you watch their xfactor performances and tour, as well as the first two albums and related tours, it’s clear when it came to live performances and vocals Liam was at the forefront. Even in their later albums he’s all over the harmonies and backing. Liam cannot be extracted from one direction, the one time he was unwell the guys cancelled their performance. If the hater Directioners think the other guys will be grateful for all this hate and ridicule they have subjected Liam to, then they are hallucinating. Why would the guys want a reunion when fans have switched on Liam so spectacularly. I think they realise that could be them at any point in time. If I were them I’d stay in my solo career.

They only knew each other for 2 weeks before they had to perform together on the show, talk about pressure. But Liam held that group together during the performances on XFactor. He started the songs and did most of the vocals and the others followed him. I think Liam is the reason they succeeded.

Then she def insists on Harry, and Simon chimes in first on Louis, but it's pretty much immediate consensus. Then she picks Liam, which Simon pushes back on in case they want to give him a standalone vote, and concedes to their arguments that he's better in the group. And then Louis Walsh kinda singles out Zayn while Simon agrees and Nicole just has zero hesitation in grabbing his card and completing the group haha. So it is a collaboration, but she is the real cheerleader and feels like she has the most authentic enthusiasm, which is why it feels like she does all the selecting and why One Direction fans identify with her the most. She's reacting the most appropriately to seeing their pictures placed together for the very first time, the men are like "Yeah, it's good!" and she's like "SQUEEEEE!" She's not just putting contestants together, she is personally creating HER perfect boy band from the options, combining individual talents and maximizing cuteness. That's why she feels like the true founder.

She was just the most enthusiastic and vocal about the choices made by Louie and Simon. Only Liam was the one she had chosen. The rest everyone immediately agreed when Louie picked up a photo. She took the photos from Louie’s hand and placed it together so it looked like she was the lone creator but she wasn’t so she should stop taking credit for creating the best boy band.
