Nice boxset. Thought about buying this as well for a while, but in the end I don't see the pro's for upgrading to this set. It has the same contents as the older boxset, except for some extra live material (which I'm not very interested in) and a soundtrack album which contains songs that are also on the normal albums. The older one even comes with the Central Park concert on DVD. That's all I need.

I have read that the remasters done for this newer box are the best on CD format. I dunno how they compare to other editions, S&G have always sounded good.

@@paulc.4980 But I'm also not a big sucker for remasters in general to be honest. I still buy a lot of CD's/boxsets, and IF they are remastered, then it's great. But if not, also fine. Right now, I'm listening to an album of Clapton on CD. Released in 1985. That thing sounds amazing. I was surprised by how good it actually sounds.

The song "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was huge -- so big one got sick of it, especially as you knew it was about people other than Paul Simon.
