I think the job Dyche has done has gone under the radar. Everton seems like pure chaos, multiple points deductions and yet they have stayed up with a few games to go.

He's done a fantastic job. There's plenty of criticism about the style of play, but the team is fourth on goals conceded in the EPL, and second only to Arsenal on clean sheets. As well as goals scored from set pieces.

It's bs. No one in Qatar has an appetite to own a club when the sovereign fund already owns PSG & others. Plenty of wealthy people in Qatar but most aren't mugs with a need to prove themselves like Russian oligarchs did to legitimise their dirty wealth. Even the Man Utd Sheikh Jassim was only linked cause he's a mega United fan who was also involved in the 2010 red knights attempted takeover to oust the dirty greedy yanks & was emotionally involved. Even then Hassim's dad said they're not mugs who will overpay & only seek good investments, hence their refusal to enter a bidding war or take lesser terms. f they ever did buy someone Spurs is easily the best investment.

Everton are in the PL and they've just built a fantastic new 52,800 seater stadium due to be opened at the beginning of the 25/26 season. They have a big fan base with a long waiting list for season tickets for the new stadium already. Of course they're valuable!

Teetering on the edge of relegation for past few years, toxic fanbase & club. Hardly great value. It's a big risk & the fact you only attracted likes of 777 says it all, if you want better buyers the value is clearly lower than you think. What use is a fancy stadium in the championship? Which is more than a real risk

Next season they are likely to breach ffp again and go into administration. So further points deductions. If you are a potential buyer you might wait and see what happens in order to get a knock down price. It's a lot of debt to take on.

I disagree that he has a right to want his money back. He's pissed it up the wall on bad decisions...Managers, DoF's, Players, Agents, Board Members...it's like me buying a house, spending money on it to make it worse, then crying when it's valued less than what I've put in. The thing he has done good, but is also causing cash flow problems, is the new stadium. But as a whole, he's absolutely messed up a great opportunity for the club. It's a shame, but that's the reality.

@hellalive8973 100%. Get you there. I guess a business is valued as a business, not how much money you've poured into it. Everton still has a lot of value. Moshiri should still be able to get a good sum. And, to be fair to him, he has said the money he's lent the club doesn't have to be paid back any time soon and is also interest free. Evertons twisted finances have gone on for at least 20 years. It's not an easy one to sort out. Hopefully a decent resolution can be found...hopefully it doesn't involve 777.

See this is the problem with football right now. It's a loss operation for most clubs because the players get paid too much of the proceeds. That's why a luxury tax like in MLB makes the most sense. Let the rich couple of clubs spend like mad and the rest can get the benefits and still have a good shot of success 😀⚽️🦅

I think this has a lesson that is a lot broader than football. Everton has been in a crisis for years and the club is being played like a rich person’s toy. The only people who don’t have a real say in the future of the club are the ones who really matter - the fans. Like a lot of the decisions that affect working peoples lives I think working people should have much more of a say in what happens. after all it’s their money and their support that keeps the club afloat.

I'd say yes because if you measure that club over the entirety of Football History [and not just the last thirty years as many people tend to do when assessing Everton}, only Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are bigger. That's the fourth biggest club of all time going bust.

That's absolute waffle. Everton have an enormous international fan base built on the back of their historic success, something that Newcastle have NEVER had. They're not as big as the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal but their international fan base is far greater than that of Newcastle, West Ham, etc. You can piss and moan about that as much as you like but you can just go anywhere on earth and you'll see Everton shirts on sale alongside the usual suspects.
