So much so that I’ve actually stopped going to games (call me a fake fan all you want, I wasn’t one of you lot conveniently leaving at 2-0 down to “avoid the traffic” when we blew it against Aston Villa last season!). I do not want to give Guardiola’s former kitman a penny of my hard earned money. Can you not see he’s taking us for a ride? Been rewarded with a £15m per annum salary & what has he achieved exactly? He has committed many sackable offences since his failed tenure took place. Believe me, I could write a book on them. I think my total count might even be potentially triple figures?! This season is not a title challenge anymore, honestly it’s a battle for top 4. Simon is absolutely right that we’ve regressed dramatically. P.S. What’s baffling, truly baffling is that arteta has regressed his team through design every year. This first year of being decent, they had Martinelli, Jesus, saka playing this sort of interchangeable football rotating all around the place. Xhaka would be involved on the left and Ben white would do overlaps of the right. Both our wingers were SMOKING the league. Does arteta build on that? No, he gets rid of xhaka who was the guts and backbone of our midfield and buys Havertz. He tries putting him in midfield for the first part of the season, puts Partey at right back. A complete mess. But the set piece coach becomes the star and our set pieces and corners become our big threat and makes every team fearful of us. The next year, for some reason, arteta gets rid of that too. Every single thing that seems like a style of play that works, he seems to want to throw in the trash and try something new. Against Newcastle, I’ve no idea what the f his plan was. It’s a mess
@Bobsam-m1p13 сағат бұрын
That doesn't make sense because every year arsenal has improved their points tally, goals, chances created, clean sheets, lessened chances conceded, broken so many records as well. This is what Arteta gets from straying from the 'Arsenal Way' to the 'Pep way'. Arsenal used to play the best football in the prem, now they're just Btec City with no striker

Get dragged in to that type of game. The one where Newcastle win against Arsenal, again, at St James Park. Newcastle were more creative on Sat, played better stuff and were much more incisive.

Syndicate OFFICIALS in EPL are sobataging Arteta big time, the frequency of punishment to his team is too high compare to other teams, you say he is unlucky but not 3 times in a row.....!!!!!!!!!!

You cant play merino, rice and partey against s team like newcastle that sit back a lot. Need a ball creater in midfield. Against liverpool it done well but you cant play that same way with all teams

Arsenal are a great team. Some great players. Fallen into the Man City mode of p1ssing about with the ball trying to bore Newcastle into conceding. Ironic that Newcastle goal came from just an ‘old fashioned’ cross in the box. Goals like that are a bit rare nowadays it seems. Good few times I was suprised Arsenal didn’t just pull the trigger or put a first time ball into the box. Always had to take 2 or 3 touches trying to walk the ball into the net

Are we going to ignore how AFC have been robbed by the officials this season! Many players have kicked the ball away since Trossards sending off yet no one has been punished like AFC players! Until we see consistency then we won't see Arsenal do well! What would the story be if we weren't robbed and got the victories we were on course to get! The narrative would be completely different! This season is a write off for AFC!

They had their chance to win the league but they bottled it. The game is about momentum and belief if Arsenal dont win nothing then their best players will leave and the saga continues. Same thing happened before when guys like Fabregas, Van Persie, Cole, Gallas; Giroud etc all left to win silverware

Every time I read about how much they have spent it’s a different number. I think we can all agree it’s around 600 million over his 4 1/2 to 5 years spell. All these people trying to make it out to be worse than it is I am not an Arsenal fan but if we are going to say things try and be factual. It’s a huge amount of money for very little success and I agree with Simon they are going backwards.

Doesn’t matter, stats are that since he took charge of us in late 2019 he has the highest net spend of any manager. That list does include Guardiola but you can even include previous managers like Klopp, Mourinho, Solskjaer, Ten Hag, etc. However, what did he achieve with the exception of the FA Cup (with Emery’s team!)?!

Arsenal spent a lot of money but that money is for just catching up to the other teams. They lost their chance last year.

Do Arsenal get a bit too much coverage in the media and socials? 🤔 Slight overeaction. If Arsenal had another win on the board, nobody would be talking. Teams go through bad patches and they bounce back. There are no easy fixtures, but a couple of good results this week can instill renewed confidence. Liverpool were leading the PL last year (many people forget) before Klopp announced he'd be leaving. The thinking was it would inspire the team to leave the boss with a parting gift. It had the opposite effect and they faltered (or what anti-Arsenal fans term 'bottled it'). Plenty of excuses rang out in the aftermath, but far less media reaction and they were more forgiving. Undoubtedly the link between midfield and attack is missing in that final third. Letting ESR go without replacement was probably the biggest mistake, unless they felt Trossard and youth players could cover in the event of an injury.

Arsenal is not far from being a Beast. They miss strikers. One in the center and one on the left. Maybe another midfielder. They can fix that in a transfer window.

Arsenal will never be good enough to win the title. Arsenal play good football and have the quality to win big matches and go on winning runs putting a series of good wins together. But as soon as Arsenal get hit by bad injuries or something goes wrong they wilt.Arsenal have not good the professional hunger and cold blooded hunger nor desire to win the title. Arsenal are far too soft.
