One of the World's best guitarists. I went to a music equipment fayre at Birmingham, Simon demo'd a PRS for my brother-in-law. He tuned up and started playing to one of his backing tracks. Within a few seconds there were people flocking to see where this incrdible sound was coming from. My son know owns the very guitar Simon played. He is absolutely brilliant it has to be said.

Amazing .. Usually when kids are put in the spotlight on guitar, you might think "that's good for a 12 year old" .. But this is just flat out fantastic, 12 years old or not .... Simon is an absolute beast on guitar n=nowadays, his live solo w/ Deep Purple in "Lazy" is phenomenal ...

yeah you're absolutely right about your story ....thanks....i also haerd/see the Ian Gillan DVD with Simon, he's very good....he also played with the Don Airey band live some years ago i think ....not sure....

Interesting. I think Satch Boogie was done by Satriani in 94 when he replaced Blackmore, this is way earlier......

yeah, it was his chance to prove it, for sure, to have played in Gillan's solo band and Airey's solo band projects was a logical choice or Purple to let him a chance to play with them ....
