Simon is an awesome player and has the speed of Gary Moore but has his own individual style so you just can't compare the two of them but they both came from Belfast, Northern Ireland , that's where the comparison ends, and what a replacement for Steve Morse in Deep Purple. Well done Simon

The Gary Moore comparison here is really unfair. Simon's got about 4/5ths the raw playing power of Gary Moore, and about 2/3 the singing ability. After you saw a Gary Moore show, you kind of felt bad for the frets on the guitars he was playing. Not so much this guy. And let's not forget Gary's voice was a beautiful high tenor, with such soul. Not so much this guy.
