Right call on WM17 being top, but harsh on the rest of the great year that was 2000. Royal rumble (street fight arguably best ever WWF match) and Summerslam from that year both pretty special. I think in terms of hype and buzz InVasion 2001 is up there, what a build up and atmosphere leading into it.

i'm probably in the minority, but the 1994 Royal Rumble will always hold a special place in my heart. it's the PPV that hooked me as a fan. as hokey as it is now, the ending to the casket match as well as co-winners of the Rumble was amazing to my younger self. add the drama with Bret and Owen, my first time seeing Razor Ramon defend his IC title, the opener of Bam Bam VS Tatanka, and the Royal Rumble itself, and it was sensory overload. as for top 10? no way i could list only 10 since almost every Takeover i've seen was great. but i definitely know that Summerslam 2013, Money In The Bank 2011 (i was there so i'm biased), Extreme Rules 2012 (was there live as well), Wrestlemania X-7, WM 19, and Summerslam 1994 and 2002 will always be toward the top.

I'm biased because WrestleMania 6 is mine simply because it was my second ever event besides a house show in Niagara Falls New York but spending the weekend in Toronto at a nice hotel for my 12th birthday surprise for my father was one of the greatest memories of my life there was only an hour drive to Toronto from my hometown of Buffalo New York as well so WrestleMania 6 is always my favorite just for so many reasons

I was a huge Flair mark as a kid. I used to argue with my best friend, who was a Hogan fan, about who the real world champion was. Cut to 1992, Flair winning the title, I felt vindicated. I even got to see Flair vs Hogan at a TV taping later that year. Flair won btw, by countout.

Royal Rumble 2001 has got to be in there somewhere. Simon, I understand you were at a couple of those shows which adds bias. The Rumble match, E&C v Dudleys, Jericho v Benoit ladder match were absolutely superb! Even Angle v HHH for the WWF title was good. Chyna v Ivory 🤦🏻‍♂️only footnote.

NXT Takeover New Orleans is my favourite of all time, outside of the NXT PPVs, my favourite is probably Wrestlemania 20 or ECW One Night Stand. I like Mania 17 too, but it didn't feel as special to me as WM20, Backlash 2000, Royal Rumble 2000/2001/2004/2018, or the top half of Vengeance 2001.

Brett heart vs shawn michaels was the most talked about ppv in my opinion ever. Us as kids. We debated 10 years after the match and fights and everything happen friends were lost from that match alone. Too me it's the number 1 all time
