Does not look like blood at all, Laura. The card is wonderful and touched a special place in my heart, a place reserved for the Christmas reason for joy, the birth of Christ. It would be cool to have this sentiment stamped on the inside: "The Lord has come." Thanks for your fantastic sense of humor!

I’m rewatching your videos today and it’s on auto play. With my name, I hear this song a lot, All. Year. Long. Oddly it’s not my favorite Christmas song but I do like that my name is synonymous with a miraculous season. I’m also obsessed with snowflakes. You can find representation of snowflakes in every room all year. My dog’s name is Snezhinka, which is Russian for snowflake! Ok...I digress...but ya needed a little back story to convey my appreciation for this beautiful card! The yellow/orange gives it a festive non-traditional pop of joyful exuberance! I wanna enlarge and frame that card! I want this hanging on my wall every day because it makes me that happy to look at it! I enjoy your videos, your personality your sense of humor, and your expressions of joy through color!

here in New England we have paint spattered floors in some antique houses. Lots of them include red splatters which -- when they're mixed with other colors, is just cheerful. Maybe if the spatters were just red they'd be yukky though. : )

First, no, the splatter did not make me think of blood at all, not even a little bit. Second, when you have intricate dies, especially longer thin ones, changing the direction helps because in die cutting machines the rollers tend to be on the sides, so that's where you'll get the most pressure. Cutting plates help even out that pressure, but sometimes putting it through closer to the side (especially in older machines), helps cut it much better. Also, when less of the die goes through the machine, the rollers can have more even, stronger pressure, on the part of the die that is going through the machine, because it's only using one roller (although the plates still get pressure from the other roller). Very nice card though. I also really like the spray adhesive idea for sticking together intricate dies like that. Does the spray adhesive have a really strong hold when it's dry?
@ChrisAndCats7 жыл бұрын
Agreed re the rollers - with the die orientation, if it hits the die sideways on, the rollers skip over the edge which, in this case, is the whole die. Lengthways means they roll over the whole die, plus at the edge puts more pressure than in the middle. With a square/rectangular background die with a long straight edge, thats why you can get a missed bit, so if you have space, twist it a tad so it approaches corner on, that helps a lot.
