So adorable Laura. And I was tickled pink about your daughter's entire class participating in the Kindness Challenge. That is just wonderful for the teacher to have all of her kiddos do this. And as far as your other daughter getting a kidney stone, yeah I have been there soooo many times it's not even funny so you can tell her that I understand her pain. She is lucky that she didn't have to have surgery because after 5mm, they normally can't get it to break down enough to be able to let it pass. For future reference, you might want to have your daughter drink some type of cranberry juice, cranapple is the best tasting one but since she is so young, she might have some problems with this later on as well. I was 10 when I had my first one and it has continued ever since. It is basically a calcium build up that gets trapped in the kidney and the cranberry juice is a natural way to break down that calcium. So what the doctors had me do is a couple of times a month drink a full cup of cranberry juice in order to help keep the kidney stones away. You can check with the doctor and see what his/her opinion on the matter is but it really has worked well for me and every time I stop drinking the cranberry juice and start drinking soda or something like that (dr. pepper is my poison) then I end up getting one again. But since I do my cranberry regiment, I haven't had one since 2009 at a whopping 4.75mm, yeah it was a bad one. But I really hope she doesn't have to go though what I have in my life...I would rather have kids naturally over and over again lol, totally true! And one more thing, even though she is feeling better at the time of this video, it can come back once it decides to try and pass again. It's like trying to suck a marble through a straw and the kidney stone has barbs on them (like a sticker) so if it bounces away from the tube that goes to the bladder, then it will stop hurting, it is when it is trying to pass that it hurts so bad. So if you can get it to break down before it passes it won't hurt nearly as bad but a lot of times you can feel it still. So hopefully it can break down enough to pass without hurting her. Good luck :) Remember, cranberry juice!

Poor Alex. I had gall stones at 17 and that was a pain that i thought i was going to die from! so i cant imagine how kidney stones feel especially for someone so young. Hope she doesnt have to go through that again. Nice to hear that Bailey taught her class something about kindness! always look forward to your vids. TFS

Wow, 14 is awful young for having kidney stones.....I've have that problem for over 20 yrs....I had my stones checked and I have to stay away from certain food so they don't crystalized....

Your card rocks Laura! That was a great story about the kindness that Bailey showed her teacher and how the teacher than took the idea and ran with it (I hope you've shared that story with Jennifer). However, what happened to your older daughter is terrible....I really feel for her, and for Mom! She must be a tough wee one to go back to school so soon....way to go sweetie and way to go Bailey! I know that this is 5 years old, but I gotta say Poor Bailey, bless her heart. I've never had anything like that happen to me and being 62 years old I hope and pray I don't cuz right now I'm going through a lot of pain with a herina up in my ribcage and I'm tellin ya OUCH too. Im so sorry about your daughter’s kidney stone. It can be the worst pain ever. Definetely more painful than childbirth. I have them and it runs in my family. Just FYI they seem to be worse when I forget to hydrate. Anyway I’ve been there fingers crossed my kids havent inherited my lovely kidney stone problems but hey if they do guess what? I’ll deal things could be worse.Right??? Hope your beautiful girl feels better and never has another one. OH!!!have her pee into a little strainer. All my best!!!Beth
