Very nice. The downside of watching tennis on tv is that the camera position doesn't give you a good sense about the height of the ball. High level tennis filmed court-level gives that extra dimension.
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Court level is the way to go, I wish they'd show more in tournaments. It gives the real sense of what's going on
@foenichts6 жыл бұрын
Also you dont get to see the pace at all. Sometimes it looks like its not even physical. This angle just shows how powerful good tennis players are and the speed of the balls also tells you much about the feel of the pros. I mean this looks awesome as fuck, just imagine a Federer, Wawrinka, Nadal or Djokovic from this angle

Nice vid Are they mizuno tennis shoes Simon? If so could you please tell me how they are, eg durability, comfort Thanks
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes they are mizuno. Comfort is good for when I'm coaching, however when I start moving quickly like in this session, my foot moves around inside the shoe and it jams my toes. In fact my toes are all smashed from these shoes. If I was competing, no way I'd wear these unless I had on two pairs of socks and had the ideal size. Nikes are normally my go to shoe as I have wide feet but the last pair of nikes I got gave me horrendous blisters, Yoan also suffered from the same issue with the same model so it could be that one model has a malfunction.

Hello Simon. I see some really really good forehand strokes, which are what I'm working on mainly right now. Do you have any tips possibly on how to return the ball lower? Sometimes I will strike the incoming balls high into the sky and that doesn't seem correct. Do I just need more practice and experience? I'm mostly trying to regulate my positions and strikes and make sure my forehand is right.

Thank you Luke I’m 6’1, I did play futures and money events mainly in Spain but I had to give up at 21 due to finances and some family issues. I started coaching in 2007, saved up some money and played a bunch of tournaments in 2010 but my club at the time didn’t support me being gone and after one event where I won three qualifying matches and was gone for 5 days, the manager pulled me in the office. “We need a coach who’s always here, full time to help the players and run squads, if you want to play tournaments you’ll have to leave the club” So I stopped immediately since I needed to pay my bills etc Then in 2011 I was planning on taking some time off to compete and got a serious illness due to overtraining and overworking and ended up in bed for a month, unable to walk. That was when I started TTT, since then this has been my passion and I put all my energy into it. Me and Alex wanted to play doubles this year but with the entire travel thing out the window we’ve put that on hold

Yoan second serve, needs a little bit more 'venom'. Simon manages to get inside the court comfortably, take it early, and make some damage.

Very nice, played at a high level with good intensity. At 4:56, Simon, had you given up on the drop shot before it hit the net? :)

Every-time the young lad starts to get the upper hand - the wily veteran attacks the net and puts the pressure on, and wrests back the advantage

Experience David. I know what he likes and more importantly what he doesn't like.
