That first image of Jo's, first thought was it's just another photo of a tree, then the more I looked at it the more I liked it. The way Jo framed the image was fantastic. Great credit to the two of you. 👍

Wow, very enjoyable to get a little fire lit under us about those photos. I fouond a shot of a dead tree that looked like a frozen 30' tall monster marching through the woods. One of my best pictures. There was a fire and that tree no longer exists. I'm so glad I got the shot. Thinking back on it, I should have taken the camera club there. Those guys were pro's and I sure wasn't but I should have. I know they would have enjoyed it. I guess the lesson here is, believe in yourself.

I really think so, I just love your outlook on nature and work, and u inspired me to start printing. May I ask what material did u guys use for the backgroud of photos? I want to frame some of my work but they are big formats and frames are to expensive, and also some of the aspect ratios that I end up using are almoust imposible to fit into non custom frames. Thank you for replying and keep it going man, it is a holiday for half an hour when u put out your video, and I just love your images!

INCREDIBLE IMAGES!! I have always disliked anthropomorphism in art, especially as it relates to animals. When it comes to the work you and Joe are creating I am completely convinced that this is a good thing. It increases our empathy for the woodlands and helps us to care more about the preservation of these sacred spaces. Thanks and keep up the great work!

So glad you posted this, and many congratulations and thanks to you and Joe on such an absolutely superb exhibition. You both have obviously spent some considerable time, effort, and presumably cost, putting this exhibition together, but I have to say it's one of the best photography exhibitions I've ever had the pleasure of attending. Having not visited your KZbin channel for weeks, I very nearly didn't get to hear about it, and only a chance pop-up on FB alerted me to the fact. By coincidence I had to spend a night in Nunthorpe last week, en-route in taking an elderly relative to Manchester airport the next day, so decided to visit on the way up from Rotherham. Not only did it made my day, but I got reacquainted with the beautiful North York Moors which I hadn't visited for many years and which has now left me wanting to see much more. The photography throughout is superb, and it's a truly fabulous collection of images on show. I was blown away with the quality of the prints too, and I'd love to know more how you did this and what paper you used (another video perhaps?). I've generally avoided matt papers as they just seem to suck the life out of images, but your's and Joe's prints looked incredibly vibrant, colourful and so detailed; the best matt prints I've ever seen. Also, what a great book too, it's got to be the best value and best quality photography book out there at the moment, and for any other photographers reading this, grab yourself at a copy whilst you can, at £20 its a no-brainer. I also got to see your book too, Simon, and am the now the proud owner of a copy. It's stunning.

In my opinion, the very best way to look at a photo is when printed to a good size, on a wall, in an environment that says "hi, would you like to linger awhile, that's OK"

Your work has always been exhilarating and thought provoking. Beyond that, what truly evoked an emotional response was listening to two eloquent thinkers articulate their vision. It is thrilling to hear language that precisely conveys the mental elements which assemble and produce extraordinary images. Thank you both for that.

Thank you both for recording this!! It was a difficult decision when I chose not to get a ticket for one of your opening tours, because I knew it would be a special and informative experience! However, I really wanted the luxury of being able to spend unlimited time with the photographs and without the distractions of the presence of others. So, I chose to make the journey over on a midweek, sunny day, and immerse myself with an almost private viewing 😬 So glad to have had a little taster of what I missed out on, through this video. Beautiful exhibit and very informing and inspiring video. Quick technical question about the exhibit: Are the prints displayed without glass in the frames? It looks like it in the video. If so, it’s a great and unique look, but I’m curious if the framed prints were given a coating / laminate of any sort to protect them? Thank you.

Hello Simon. I am interested at your book, but I am a bit concerned about import taxes to Belgium now that you are in a third country thanks to brexit. Last time I ordered a 45 $ item from the US, I had to pay 50 € charge (custom handling fee, import tax and vat combined). What's your experience with this ?

Hi Philippe. It seems to be a bit hit and miss so I can't guarantee anything. I'd suggest contacting your local customs office for clarification on charges for a £20 item. I would hope it's minimal. Many thanks!
