Simone is absolutely amazing, when I am watching her I can't believe what she is able to do. I think Simone is already a role model to so many people, especially girls and young women. You can feel the joy and the power when you watch her in any competition, she is little, but mighty! God bless her and i hope she shines in the Olympics, as I am sure she will. I am very glad she is taking care of herself and seeing to her mental health as well as physical, she is a role model there as well.

this is several weeks old news and if she performs this without stepping out of bounds on the triple double on floor she could score a 17 16.4 on Vault 16 on Bars and 15.6 on Beam and possibly win all 6 medals at the Olympics Simone would become only the 2nd Woman Gymnast to achieve this after legendary Romanian Gymnast Daniela Silivas in 1988 also competitors ages are swinging back to what they were before 1968 most competitors being in their 20s-mid 30s. First Olympics shown in Color was Mexico City 1968 and the first non boycotted Olympics in which the US Women's team won a medal was Bronze at Barcelona in 1992 which was also the first team to have two Gymnasts of color competing and she will be the 2nd African American Gymnast to compete in 3 Olympics after Dominique Dawes 1992 1996 and 2000 and if Simone wins all six medals she becomes the 2nd most decorated female Artistic Gymnast in Olympics history behind legendary Soviet Gymnast Larisa Latynina who has 18 medals from 3 Olympics 9 Gold 5 Silver & 4 Bronze competing in her last Olympics aged 29 years 7 mos. girls in their late teens started competing in 1968 Lyundmila Tourischeva made her first Olympic team at 16 when min age was 14 its been 16 since 2000 hence why Dong Fengxiao was disqualified from Sydney for competing aged 14 though there were other shenanigans at that Olympics like Andrea Raducan being stripped of a medal for taking cold medicine or the Vault being set incorrectly etc.
