Thats actually her grandmother. Her grandfather is her biological mom's father. This lady is her grandmother through marriage. Raised her since the age of 3 so she refers to her as her mother and father versus grandparents.

Oh and I think that its possible that you could be right. Her biological mom is her complextion but abandoned her. She may see beauty in her grandmother because of that. Her grandmother happens to be light skinned. Plus she is in a field of all white women basically and she speaks that way. She just may see beauty in all of that based off of the abandonment.

Simone's parents are both amazing. So supportive and very loving. I am so happy that they were able to adopt Simone and her little sister. Who knows what would have happened if they were left in the system. They are both so lucky that they had family members who were willing and wanting to adopt them. Its so sad that they had a hard couple first years but thank God everything worked out. Its so awesome to see that their family loves God, prays, and are so grateful for all their blessings. I wish them nothing but the best. The strong loving bond between all of them is truly beautiful. Simone keep reaching for the stars, i think if you flip just a little higher you might be able to grab one!!!! Bahahaha, xoxoxoxox

@Triangle jurple When she was a little girl, her and her sister were taken away from their biological mother. Her biological mothers father ( Simone's grampa) and his wife, Nellie, adopted both the girls. They asked the girls what they wanted to call them, grandma and grandpa, or mom and dad. Simone said she went upstairs and thought about it and said out loud practicing saying mom and dad. She then came downstairs a little while later and called Nellie, Mom. And Simone and her sister called them Mom and Dad ever since. And that was the end of it. 😊😊
